:wave2: Looking for a great breakfast off site, near Downtown Disney. Anyone know?

I would go over to the Marriott World Center. They have a breakfast buffet seven days a week that is about 70 feet lonbg and includes eggs, pancake and waffles to order, about a dozen kinds of fruit, lox, varous meats and lots of other stuff.

When I took only one teenage son to Disney and pretty much let him call the shots about meals, he requested DENNY'S for breakfast(near Crossroads Shopping Center)...of course, it is very un-Disney, and we could eat at the one near where we live all day long...but we never do! Anyway, it was cheap and he got a great breakfast without fanfare.

My vote goes for the Marriot World Center as well. I've stayed there several times and always book the "Breakfast for 2" room just because of the breakfast buffet. They have almost anything you would want. I don't know what the price is because I never have to pay it separately.

There is a Waffle House near Crossroads!

Now granted, this is not the nicest place, but if you have never been, its worth the trip! It's a true "southern experience"!

Be sure to drop some coins in the Juke Box and play some of the songs written just for this joint!

absolutely, positively:
GOLDEN CORRAL!!!
HUGE buffet (hot food buffet station (meats, eggs, etc), fruit buffet station, & bakery station with pies, cakes, muffins & cookies)
all food was very fresh, restaurant is very clean, service very good
btw, we've eaten lunch & dinner there, & also loved it

& if you have a coupon book (hint ;) : you can get one by the GC exit door), there is an additional discount

we also like ponderosa (tho food, service & variety just not as good as GC).

on our one & only trip to denny's, we found it much too dirty (drink glasses had crud, there was mold on ceiling, walls & windows, & many, MANY dead/live bugs by windows & on floor). food was reasonable (tho we didn't eat much  ) & service good

I agree with Mike on the Waffle House- good food and not expensive.
Great coffee i recall too.
However- the buffeet at the Marriott sounds nice. Might have to try that next time.

We used to enjoy Perkins but it had fallen off quite a bit on our last visit. Breakfast might still be worth it as breakfast food is pretty much the same most places and those muffins are worth the trip (if not the massive calories) alone. :rotfl2:

However, that being said, Golden Corral (to the right of Crossroads and on the left side past the overpasses) is awesome. I was told that it is a protype and they try out things there and that is why they have such a selection. If you do not like one kind of eggs there are at least a half dozen other choices to make as there are with pancakes, meats etc.

We did not think the dinner choices were as good as the breakfast foods but that might just be us.

Do not forget to pick up the coupon book at the entrance to save even more!! If you time things right you can get lunch at a breakfast price or dinner at a lunch price too!!
