Not to be confused with "Maneater" that old song by Hall and Oates. :goodvibes All the younger people are like "what is she talking about?" :confused3

Anyways I just wondered who eats meat, who is vegetarian or even vegan.
And for those who eat meat what kind? Beef? Pork? Chicken? Turkey? Lamb? Veal? etc..

We eat meat but mainly chicken breast (nothing still on a bone, I have a phobia about that) or turkey. Not alot of red meat. I could never sit down and dig into a steak, but we do have a burger occasionally. Although at home I use turkey burgers, and ground turkey in tacos and such. We never eat pork, veal, lamb, etc. No reason just personal preference.

BTW, this is all about personal choice so save any flames or lectures for another thread. Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

I eat all meat except for lamb and veal. No real reason, I just don't care for them.

I don't eat much chicken because it is "tough" these days and don't care for it on the bone either (unless it's from Popeye's.)

We eat meat here no veal or lamb though blech.

I used to be a Vegetarian but I dont eat enough veggies so I wasnt getting the nutrition I needed ( now before anyone jumps all over me, I know you CAN get all the nutrients but *I* wasnt)

I love steak. I will only buy filet migon and will order that when I go out to eat or some type of seafood.

I will eat anything that doesn't eat me first. I won't eat any organs though(liver, gizzards ect.)

We eat meat here but no veal....
We are more seafood and chicken lovers though.
But a good steak and hambuger hits the spot everytime

I'm not a meat-eater any more--couldn't tell you when I last had a hamburger. My DH does eat meat.

Carnivore checking in . . .

I don't do brains, or stomachs, or Rocky Mountain oysters, but just about everything else is fair game.

I'm a big meat eater. Mostly chicken. I'll eat steak occasionally, and meatballs whenever I get the chance, but I eat predominantly chicken. There's very little seafood that I CAN eat that I also like. I only like pork when it's that shredded, barbecued stuff. Any other style is far too rubbery for me. So I eat very little pork. I will eat ham though. No veal, lamb or any organs here.

I'm a meat-eater!! I love steak, especially a good ribeye! Yummy!!

I'll eat meats like ham, chicken, pork, ribs etc...just not any gutts or lamb, veal, deer or buffalo etc...

Ack, got that stuck in my head now! :p

I went about a year and a half without eating beef (partly to see if I could and partly because of the whole madcow thing  ) and I came to realize what a beef centered culture we are. If it weren't for chicken sandwiches I never could have gotten a meal in some places. I love a good steak too much though, so I do have that occasionally now. Somehow, though, beef just isn't that tempting to me as much anymore. I buy ground turkey instead of ground beef at the grocery store and I really can't tell the difference.

I eat seafood (except lobster, yuck!), chicken, turkey. I was a vegetarian for 10 years and still really don't eat a lot of meat. If I make chicken I will just have a few bites.

My DH, on the other hand, eats EVERYTHING. I don't mind cooking meat for him, I just don't like to eat it.

LOL That made me think of a friend of mine. She grew up on a farm. Old Italian family. I don't think there is anything she hasn't eaten. I almost died when she told me she ate black bird and pasta and ate a guinea pig. YUCK!!!

My father-in-law owns about 100 head of cattle. We eat LOTS of beef. Medium-rare or medium, while KAMommy likes hers medium-well to well done.

I personally eat lots of chicken. I'd say that's about 50%-50% with beef for me. I never met a chicken I didn't like.

Turkey is good too, but I'd rather eat a chicken.

Pork is OK. Seafood is OK, but there's not any good truly 'fresh' seafood around here except some trout & catfish (that I know of), and I could do without Red Lobster if I had to.

We have some hunters in the extended family, basically my father-in-law and some of his brothers. We sometimes have some venison or boar meat.

I am definitely a meat eater. I love a good steak. I eat beef, chicken and turkey. I will eat ham and bacon but thats it in the way of pork. The only seafood I eat is shrimp, I have never cared for any other types. Wow, I sound like a pickey eater. But I have never met a pasta that I didn't like.

We don't eat beef. We eat mostly chicken and turkey, once in a while pork. We do eat some seafood, but DH hates most fish. I could cut out all meat and be perfectly happy, but DH isn't ready to go that far. However, I do have him eating Boca Burgers, so maybe all is not lost.

I'm a carnivore, but there are certain meats I won't eat. Lamb, buffalo, venison, all on my do not eat list. I'm sure there's others. Basically I'm a chicken, beef, pork, veal kinda gal. And right now I'm hungry enough to eat my right arm.... :teeth:
