Where's that pixie dust ? Our brush with the million dreams!!! Day 2 our dreams

This is my first trip report although we have been to WD 7 times , 2 times this year the first was in April(spring break) This time was a bit different so I thought I would share! Here is the cast members of our party!

Me the true Disney lover, and a planning fanic who didnt plan anything this trip due to DH who we will call Goofy and you will see why later who insisited we not do the dining plan as he didnt want his days planned out!

Dear Hubby - Goofy again you will see why!!

Dear Daughter age 9 her 4th trip to disney and a true disney princess She is Jasmine and since this is her real name she acts the part!

and last but not least our Dog (Jack Russle ) Princess

Our trip was from Oct 1 - Oct 7 , I cant give to a tour of our resort as there is no room at the resort we camp at Fort Wilderness we take Princess with us she is such a Disney fan! I do love it when people tell me Oh your going the cheap way, LOL we get 8 miles to a gallon, Had to buy a truck to pull our 5th Wheel Camper and the camper we could have stayed for the next 10 years at the luxury resorts but allas
Princess wouldnt get to enjoy her Disney trip.

Well here goes, Goofy comments to me at the beginning of the week that the air on the truck isnt as cool as usual . Me well dont you think you should take it to the shop its hot in Florida and its a 800 mile trip , Goofy no it just needs a can of freeon in it. I am packing the camper when I notice that the seam on the out side front has pulled apart I rush to tell goofy that it needs to be repaired can we get it in camper world and get it back in time to go ??
Goofy checks it out and says it just needs to be resealed with that white gunk stuff and that it will be fine . Goofy seemed so confident I foolishly thought everything would be fine .
Sept 30
We get started at about 8 A.M. Goofy driving , Jasmine in the back with her CD player , Me riding shotgun and Princess by My side. We drive about 200 miles we are making great time everthing is going great Princess is taking a nap , Jasmine is watching movies (portable DVD players are great) and I glance back at the camper and Yell at Goofy that he has to find a place to pull over he has a look of horror on his face as he sees what I am looking at he Quickly finds a spot to pull over we jump out of the truck and run back to the camper , the side is boldly flapping in the wind where it has pulled apart we stand and stare at it I comment to Goofy , Guess the white gunk didnt work , and since this is a family board I will leave out Goofys comment to me , Now where is that pixie dust when you need it.
Goofy said that if he had a staple gun he could fix it. About this time Jasmine decides to get out of the truck to see whats going on and Ask Goofy how that happened again I would post the comments he made but this is a family board , on the bright side Princess thought this was the best place in the doggie world she pee about every 3 ft. I comment to Goofy that if he had some screws wouldnt they work better than staples? He gets out his handy tool kit and low and behold he has a few screws in there . they worked very well . Goofy comments that we need a few more screws and some more white gunk we need to Find a Wal-Mart I shout Goofy are you crazy do you know how much time it will take to fine one and then get what you need , Goofy replys we will make a quick trip in and out . I'm not sure what world Goofy lives in !!!!!! So off we go to find a Wal-mart 2 hours later were back on the road Goofy decides he will put the gunk stuff on the camper when / if we get to Disney WHAT THE #$%^&& then why did we spend 2 hours finding a WM ?????? We drive about 5 more hours and decide to stop for the night Goofy decides he wants to find another Wal-mart YEAP you heard that right!
He thought the roast chicken smelled really good at the first wal-mart ( this is a man that never goes to wal-mart )
And thats what he wants for supper. By this time Jasmine and Princess is both whining and I mean that literly I told Goofy were not going anywhere he can go by himself so off he goes I feed Jasmine and myself a turkey sandwich give Princess a doggie treat and all is well with us !
1 hour & 35 min.later Goofy returns with his chicken at this time I am thinking about changing his name to Grumpy , Again where oh where is our magic pixie dust?

The next day the rest of our drive and our first day at Disney coming up!

We get up early to finish our road trip, everyone is in a great mood this is THE day we will arrive at Disney.

Off we go !!
We drive about 3 hours traffic is going very well looks like we will hit Disney about noon.

Its getting a bit warm so Goofy turns on the air on the truck but theres no cool air only hot air, Well
after yesterday I knew better than to comment on what didnt work. I was determined to keep my Pixie dust for Disney . At this point Goofy says it just needs
another can of freeon to get it going . Then he said we need to find a WAL-MART ok at this point I am starting to wonder about this fixation he has with wal-mart , this man that hates to shop , Well to make a 2 hour story short we found a WM got the stuff , It didnt work! Goofy said we would just finish the trip with our windows down .

Ok here we go I roll down my window keeping my good mood ignore the gas fumes , comment to Goofy didn't he think I was taking all these setbacks well , I look over at him and in zooms this huge bee that attaches its self to my ear lobe I scream in pain as it stings me I wildly slap at it , slinging its yellow and black body out the window.

Lets just say the rest of the trip was completed in silence !
Has everyone figured out how I picked Goofy for DH cast name !!!

We arrive at Fort Wilderness around 4 in the afternoon , by this time We are all quite excited to get to the park
and I am speaking to Goofy again. we leave Princess in the camper after a walk around the loop she is quite tired after our drive.

We catch our bus , This was the only slightly off thing on this trip the buses seemed a bit slower , we did see a few
love bugs but only the first couple of days .
We go To Mk I had a long talk with Jasmine about being more adventerous about the rides we head to Haunted Mansion where we only wait about 5 min to ride Jasmine had rode this when she was 3 but refused from that point on to ride any ride she thought was scary, she loved it and our Disney Magic started. All the rides with the exception of Peter Pan were walkons .
By this time we decided to get something to eat , we went to Peco Bills ,Goofy and I got the cheeseburger, Jasmine got chicken strips there was only a few people in line ,
We sat at the table and watched the light parade , we
had a great time it was extra hours we enjoyed all the rides. Now I remember why I love Disne y

Next Oct 2 MGM and our Brush with the million dreams!

we had stayed out pretty late the night before so we slept in , until 6:30 Am , Disney time 7:30 Am which is late for us. We had a nice relaxing breakfast of pancakes and a cup of coffee , or was that a pot of coffee anyway
were off to MGM today . This was Goofy's ideal remember no trip planning . He was a bit jealous of Tour Guide Mike last trip he said I spent more time with TGM than I did him I must say TGM and I have a special relationship

So were off we catch our bus at the fort about a 10 min. wait the ride over to MGM was ok nothing great. The weather was very nice not to hot yet . We missed the
MGM opening ( didnt hit one all week) we had good intentions but just never got there.

As soon as we got there Goofy wanted to hit the star tours ride (star wars) there was no line , there really was not any lines in MGM that day. We were seated in the star tour ride when the doors opened and ..........................
The dream team came in and told us that everyone on the ride had been choosen for the year of a million dreams Some people had a confused look on there faces but of course I knew right away what it was .
Our dream win was each person received a lanyard with 2 of the year of a millon dreams pins on them everyone was very excited to win we all cheered and clapped.
What a very special moment to be singled out for this .
it made us feel the magic.

We rode the ride under a disney . Jasmine couldn't wait to get the lanyard and pins on. Up until now she had shown no interest in pin collecting . Disney turned her into a collector in a matter of minutes. Everywhere we went that day the CM was looking at Jasmine's lanyard and
congratutating her on winning. She was sooo excited to be getting so much attention .

Next we went to Little mermaid again it was walk on. after the movie tour ride
we all decide we were quite hungery and I told Goofy and Jasmine lets try to get in at the Sci-Fi we had never eaten there I didnt hold out much hope we didnt have DR but lets give it a try . We went in and told the CM to check for us, they had a table available we were hoping for a car but were happy to just get in . The CM started to take us to our seats and the hostess said I just had a car open up would you guys like it? WOULD WE !!!!! Again we felt like our day couldn't get any better. Jasmine ordered the pizza meal , which she didnt care for , Goofy got the ribs and I got the cheese burger meal, Jasmine helped me eat mine .
we all ordered shakes with our meals . Goofy and I thought ours were good Jasmine liked my burger and thought the car was neat. Then came the bill which Goofy thought was to expensive . You all do remember that HE was the one that didnt want to do the dining plan , I was quick to remind him of this! We paid our check and our Waiter offered to take our pictures he was so very nice and friendly and the pictures were good.

Next to catch the stunt show , Goofy wanted to see this I was less than excited but willing , Jasmine didn't care she only had eyes for her lanyard. The show was ok but the best part was the little girl they picked to do the remote control car as a part of the million dreams it gave us the warm fuzzys to see other people get that special feeling.
we seen this all week , since now we were all looking for people that had won.

We rode a few more rides all walk ons and watched beauty and the beast , which was Goofys favorite show for some reason. By this time we a bit tired and decided to hit the pool at the fort . Goofy and Jasmine went to the pool and Princess and I went for a long walk chased a few squirrels
played ball and watched the cat in the camper next door.

We all chilled out the rest of the night , grilled steaks drank beer / pop and let the days float around us!!!

Next Epcot and our dreams continue!

they were wearing white shirts and blue pants and a
name tag on a lanyard with YEAR OF A MILLION DREAMS
on it , I will say this we saw them more than once !!!!!
