Wheres my refund question

Ok, soo I literally just got off of the phone with L-I-V-E person from the irs website (with the number you DISers posted!!! Gotta love the DISers!!! ) and I told her that it says the 24th, but I keep getting mixed messages. I really wasn't, but when you're paying your vacay with this, you start to get antsy...especially it's only two weeks away!!!

She said that it's going to be deposited into my account on Friday the 20th!!!! I sure hope so!!!

So, maybe all of you will have it on the 20th if it's dated for the 24th!! Good luck!!

And, my wait time was about 10-15 mins!!

Aren't all the deposits made on Friday but it lists the Tuesday following to allow a bit of time in case it takes the receiving bank an extra business day to post the transaction. I thought The Tuesday date just saves them some phone calls from worried citizens?

Ok, I just called again and got the man. He is the NICEST person. He said he has no clue why they are putting other days on the site because they always do friday deposits. He has send an email to someone about it because his changed to a tuesday date and it is supposed to be friday. So, long story short, he said my deposit should be there friday. The other woman told me to call back if it was not there by march 2nd . I told him I bet they had a lot of calls today because people were supposed to get their direct deposits on the 17th. He said yes, it seemed like they had experienced a lot of calls ! How many do you think were disers is what I thought to myself! So, i am crossing my fingers for friday!

OK! So my Sister was suppose to get hers on the 13th and it was changed to the 17th and she was getting a funny message on the IRS website! She recieved a letter in the mail to call the IRS with and error code! She used Turbo Tax and Turbo Tax said she was entitled to an extra $38 credit do to this stimulus thing! They say she's not so that's what the hold up was so they could notify her that they were adjusting her refund and that she should have it deposited on the 20th! The Lady also went on to tell her that they were really backed up supposedly alot of it is from this Stimulus thing!

That's a very good possibility mine showed in my account on tuesday the 10th and that is the exact date the IRS website stated also!

Some banks put a 3 day hold on your check so you woulndt get it till tuesday.

The Feds only deposit on friday and the gguys told me that sometimes if the name on the irs form is not exactly like it is at the bank there can be delays. Another thing was that they have to verify that people arent getting 2 stimilus checks so they have to cross reference your refund with the stimulis list.

I just checked and got this message! YAYAYA! I'm so excited! It's mardi gras right now and my dad is coming in from El Paso for the next week for a visit so I was really needing/wanting a trip to Sam Club to stock up before he got here so I actually get to do it now!

We got the same message this morning. But...our bank always deposits our checks on Thursady, you can see it but not touch till Friday. My refund still isn't showing in the bank. But...the State went in today and we can not touch till the 20th. Wondering why we don't see a post for the Federal?? Guess we need to be a little more patient.

My message now says March 3rd. A little dissapointing, because according to the chart it should be Feb 27th, but as long as they don't delay it, I'm OK.

My original message said my deposit would be in by February 24, but today the message changed to say it would be deposited tomorrow. They give you a few days in case your bank doesn't automatically deposit. (Usually Friday to Tuesday) I'm sure you'll get your deposit on February 27, instead of March 3.

I filed on the 6th and the website shows our refund will be deposited tommorrow! Except for "splurging" on a new microwave (ours bit the dust and boy, do we miss it) it will go towards bills/propane... but it is nice to know it will be there!
