Mini Rant...

Don't get me wrong, I love the food and snacks at Disney. There's some serious nostalgia there. In fact, I'd almost there rather be a smaller selection - I often find myself fighting an internal debate in Disney: do I get this new snack, or stick with my trusty go-to? I usually wind up buying both...

All jokes aside... how many people log onto instagram or see a story by a certain Disney food blog and say "whoa.. I'm getting that next time I go to Disney!!!".... only to realize it's at Disneyland, not Disney World.

I get that different areas have different tastes and preferences, but it's not like Disneyland is churning out Kale Salads or using ingredients/making snacks that are exclusive to the west coast.

Seriously - they have ridiculous donuts (okay, we have giant ones, but I'd love more variety); they have crazy churros, they have those cones from Crazy Cone, a chocolate-covered peanut butter sandwich(!!)...

Maybe it's just me? But it seems like Disneyland has all the fun, foodie-wise. I'd love to see some more variety. It seems like every bakery case has the same thing—it takes away from the allure of the Confectionary.

No, you are right. DL pushes the boundaries when it comes to food. The best we can do is hope WDW comes out with more than pink cupcakes once a week :rolleyes2

I recommend trying the PBJ cupcake AND the strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons for unique WDW treats! I also love the cronut at EPCOT, which I can't find at home.

The food is just better at DLR. There is a clear advantage there. WDW has some good stuff too though. It's not really a snack, but LeFeou's Brew is pretty tasty!

The one exception to this has to be the food and wine festival at epcot. We went there with snack credits to spare from our dining plan one time and it was AWESOME.

Also, dole whips.

I think I'm spoiled because I live in Brooklyn and have tasty treats on every corner. They sell cronuts at Stew Leonard's (a magical upscale grocery store in the Northeast)... Disney food still is nostalgic. I still get excited over a plain Krispie treat in Disney. It just tastes better on Main Street... but still..

Ha! I live in Westchester with a Stew Leonards right next to my office (as I type this now at work :rotfl2:), but I like mine made hot and fresh to order. Their donuts do look impressive. But in all fairness, to answer OP's complaint, DL DOES have better stuff. Like their Pixar summer celebration has how many treats? Probably like 50. WDW releases an "Incredible Summer" special treat list with like 5 things and some of them are just well....bleh.

Exactly - and the treats are all existing ones with an Incredible (or lackthereof) twist. Oh cool, a pretzel with black salt. You took a normal pretzel, gave it a funny shape, then used leftover black salt from a Signature restaurant...

AGREED! What I would do to have that carrot cake churro come to WDW...drooling. Also, I hate that WDW doesn't do more for APs. DL APs get buckets and discounts on everything. I understand DL's guests are mostly APs but it wouldn't hurt to show some love at WDW.
I asked the guy at the popcorn cart if i get a discount and he looked at me like I had 8 heads. alrighty then.

That Carrot Cake Churro was the best! Mmmmm!

Every time I look on instagram and I see a picture of a new snack I just automatically expect it to be from DL. Most of the times it is, but sometimes there is something new. I am very surprised that WDW is having the Incredible Summer with a few different foods/snacks.
