Amanda Sparks came to me one day in 8th grade. I was writing a new fantasy story, and the heroine was a witch who saves the world with her friends. I decided to call her Amanda Sparks. (There are so far 2 books in a series about her!) The name stuck with me and my friends (who loved the stories!)

Mine comes from a book series I liked. Ampris is the heroine's name, and I decided on this when I first joined an Internet forum (not the DIS). It was easy to remember and came from a much-loved character, so now I use it all over the place.
