Where would you stay???

We're having to cancel a studio and a 2BR for Sat. night of our extended family trip to VWL - this is leaving us with 107 points going into a holding account. Family members decided they needed to leave for home a day early, but that's okay. One family cancelled their entire stay after the 31 day mark - so we almost had a boat load of points in the holding account, but instead decided to let the family spread out. Anyway, DH and I thought why not use those points and go to WDW over Christmas for Dec. 18- 23rd. I called MS and they told me I could get ressies at any of the on-site resorts. So, here's the big question - Where would you stay? I know that VWL is thought to be the most desirable at Christmastime - but this trip will make our third stay there. It is our home resort and we love it - but should we branch out and try some place different? This is probably the only Christmas that we'll get to go for at least five years. What would you do?

You know, I would bet the theme of SSR would fit nicely with Christmas. I also think the theme presents itself for some awesome decorations.

All WDW resorts are in full holiday regalia. But I suspect that for DVC the Christmas tree and fireplaces in WL would top the list.

We haven't seen the Epcot resorts for Christmas but we will this year. We're staying at BWV, close to MGM and the Osborne Lights, and Epcot with the Candlelight processional.

Last year we stayed at the VWL for our Christmas visit and it was very beautiful, so you can't go wrong. I consider VWL my heart's home, but we have family coming with us and didn't have enough points to book everyone there at 11 months. From what you're saying, perhaps I didn't have to worry so much about the 11 month window, however, we can't wait to give the BWV's a try.

I (personally...family members all have differing opinions, too) like the decorations at BW for Xmas. And I can't wait to see what SSR is like!
Since all the resorts really dress up for the holiday season, you can't go wrong no matter where you decide to stay.

Oh my! Just so there is no confusion, I would like to make it perfectly clear that my first choice would be VWL!

I answered in a fashion that assumed you were looking for an alternative to VWL...

We'll be staying at SSR and then at BCV....I plan to make the trip over to VWL just to see the decorations!!
