Where would you stay.

We are going in August. I am booked at Old Key West but am now second guessing myself. My daughter wants to stay at Aminal Kingdom. We are 3 adults, a 13 year old, 4 year old and a 2 year old. We are staying in a one bedroom and will have a car. I have never stayed in OKW but did spend on night in AK last year when we go stuck because of a hurricane. I liked AK just didnt like how far away the room was from the main building. Thanks Michelle

With that group, I would stay at AKL (Kidani - not Jambo) simply because the one-bedroom will have the extra bathroom. With five plus a little one, I'd want the extra facility. However, OKW definitely has the bigger room. I still would go for the bathroom.

I've heard that both resorts have fun pools, but Kidani has the excellent water play area that little ones seem to enjoy, so that might be a plus for a hot August day. Also, if you have a car, the parking will be below the building which will help keep it cool in August!

Only AKL Kidani has the extra bathroom, not at Jambo. I think Kidani would be your best choice, you'll have the sleeper chair plus the extra bathroom.

Another vote for Kidani. They're great rooms and you can't beat the extra bathroom. You'd be surprised how much faster you'll get out in the morning.

Here's another vote for Kidani. Having two full bathrooms will make your life so much better. You should consider splurging and getting a savanna view -- the kiddos will love it! Kidani also has parking under the building, so your car won't be in the direct sunlight. The park buses stop at Kidani first and are usually empty. This is a huge issue with little ones, especially if you will have strollers.

Vote for Kidani as well, or I would move up to a two bedroom at OKW.

Even though you felt like it was a long walk to the room you were inside which is nice in the heat and rain. OKW is huge and you may have the same kind of walk just with exposure to the elements during it.
Also Kidani has the extra bathroom in the room and animals for small children's entertainment, and better pools

Did you book Jambo or Kadani? I would change that location request. The bus stops are by the lobbys. If you are at Kidani and request close to Jambo it will be a far walk to the bus stop and restaurants.

As much as I love OKW for both the lush tropical and relaxing atmosphere, I think the kids would really enjoy AKV. Personally I prefer Kidani to Jambo but at this late date, I would take which ever is available!
