We will have 3 full days at WDW and are planning 2 at MK and 1 at DTD. We have a 4 year old and 1 year old and have never been to WDW with them. We are just doing MK since we figure we will go the other parks in a year or two when they are older. We currently have a hold on a room at Coronado Springs but am wondering if there is a better resort since we are just doing to MK and DTD. Was thinking about WL but wonder if it is really worth it. Any suggestions? We are on a budget but could consider one of the cheaper deluxe hotels.

Have you considered the Contemporary?

It's on the monorail, and the distance to the MK is walkable. (Think hot tired young child on the verge of a meltdown, NEEDING a nap or a swim. Now think: 10 minute walk to the pool or room, regardless of the crowds.)

The AAA discount makes it something worth considering, particularly for a garden wing room.

I totally agree with staying at the Contemporary with little ones. It would be so much easier. Especially if you are bringing a stroller. You would be right outside the MK. Then if a code comes out it will be even less expensive.
