Could really use some advise here. Do to plane fare prices, DH and I decided to go down a day early. We won't be arriving MCO till about 8:30 PM. We need a place for 1 night, Saturday Nov 25th, before moving into CBR on the 26th.

Since we will be there less than 12 hours I hate to spend a lot for our room, but experience has taught me I do have standards! :lmao: What I'm looking for is a clean room, comfortable king bed, somewhere near WDW for less than $100.

A few years ago we stayed at Howard Johnsons when we flew in the night before... hated it. Was afraid to take my shoes off, one of the lights over the bed had the socket falling out... place just wasn't clean. I don't want to repeat my mistake.

So I turn to my friends here, the final authority on anything WDW related. If you just need a place to sleep for a few hours before going to WDW, where would you stay? Thanks for any help you can give me!

My husband and I have stayed at
Comfort Suites Maingate (FL550)
7888 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy , Kissimmee, FL, US, 34747
Phone: (407) 390-9888 Fax: (407) 390-0981 Toll-Free: (888) 390-9888

This is off 192 4 Miles from Disney World

I was going to suggest a value resort at WDW, but saw this was Sat on Thanksgiving weekend.

Have you checked there? If available, then you can have the luggage sent over to CBR, and you can start your holiday early!!

Have a great time

Try Cypress Pointe on "Hotel Kingdom.com" . Very nice and right outside Disney gates.

I have successfully used Priceline near MCO at 2 1/2 or 3 * levels, paying somewhere between $40 and $50. You can check out www.biddingfortravel.com for successful bids. Last time we got the Amerisuites. I called ahead and we were already assigned a king bed. Plus I love the breakfast there.

If you're willing to spend $100 anyway, why not just spend the extra $60 and extend your trip by a day? I find moving hotels to be a significant hassle, and probably would't bother to save only a little bit.

Thank you all for your info.

Briam Noble, you asked why I didn't just add a day on to my stay at CBR... I actually thought about it. The reason I decided against it is I thought CBR should be rather full because of T'day, since I want a king room if there was any available it would be perhaps in a less than prefered location. Plus, moving once really doesn't bother me.

Have any of you ever stayed at the Radisson Worldgate?

Travelzoo has king rooms at the Barcelo Hotel & Resort Orlando for $45. for the date you need. Just go to www.travelzoo.com and click on the icon for lodging . Select Orlando from the list, and there you go!

how about near the airport? stay at an airport hotel that has a shuttle - so the next morning you can use DME.

now if you are renting a car regardless
Best Western Lakeside - some people like it, others hate it.
www.bestwesternlakeside.com

you might be able to get Gaylord on priceline for that price or less. Okay I forgot Thanksgiving week - probably not.

there are several marriott in the areas.

Try
Palomino Suites Lake Buena Vista there rate is 99 dollars for that nite,The hotel is right outside of downtown disney.

How about one of the hotels in the Marriott Village? Check the Marriott website, for prices. Sometimes there are great deals to be had :)
