Hi Guys,
DH and I are going in September for his 40th birthday I just called and the resorts have availablity during that time but the big question is where would you stay?????

BWV-we love it, that is were we own. Love the idea of walking to Epcot just DH and I for a drink and relaxing. But we didn't know if we should try something different to make this trip without kids special.

SSR-never been, sounds nice but I didn't know if we would miss not being able to walk anywhere and if it would be to quiet.

WL- same thoughts as SSR

BCV- the kids would kill us ;)

AKL- ditto... the kids would kill us

What would you do????

I would take my chances with the kids killing you and go for BCV! Very romantic. :thumbsup2

What about BLT? Since it's an adults' only trip, I assume that you'll be doing some fine dining?? With BLT (location, location, location and all that jazz) you'll be in a central location to all those yummy eateries. And, kiddos be darned, AKV or BCV, are wonderful choices too! They'll get over it... Happy planning!!

Don't you really have a preference? Does your DH? For DH's 60th we celebrated with a DCL cruise and then VWL. That's our very favorite resort. I would pick AKV as a second choice and DH would pick BCV. Neither of us would pick BLT unless it would be in a 1 bedroom. Then, I think for the newness factor, I admit, it would be #1 in my choice for this very special visit.

For an "Adults Only" trip I would say stick with BWV. You can walk to Epcot for some drinking, or hang out at Jelly Rolls, ESPN Club, or the Brewpub at night. I haven't been, but if DW and I ever go down alone, I would mostly likely want to stay here.

We loved BCV when we stayed there - but I have a goal to stay everywhere so I would choose one of the resorts where you haven't stayed yet.

Without a doubt..BWV

Nothing better than drinking/eating around the world and then walking back or taking the boat back to the nightlife on the Boardwalk!!! Especially if you go during the Food & Wine Festival!!

Thanks for all your input... we are staying at.... BWV's and we are very excited about it.

Now I just need to figure out what we are going to do... O' I just love the fun of planning :cool1:

Remember, SSR isn't out in the hinterlands. It is well within walking distance of DTD, which is a gt spot for adults to play :thumbsup2

Dh and I did our first parents only vacation last Sept and stayed at BWV. We loved it. It was so nice to hang out at the boardwalk, stroll into EPCOT, and be able to take the relaxing boat ride to DHS.
If you are in a prefered view studio, request to overlook the village green area. We had a dedicated studio there and had a great view of EPCOT and half of the boardwalk.
Have fun. Disney can be great w/o the kids too.

At SSR you can walk to DTD, and from WLV you can take the launch to the Contemporary and walk to MK. :thumbsup2

DH and I did a solo trip with no kids:cool1:and we stayed at SSR to be close to DTD. It was great. We did not go to any of the parks. Just golfed and ate.
