We've been back almost 5 days and we're already looking forward to our next WDW vacation. We are planning on a trip between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2003.

Where is the best place to experience the Christmas holiday? Kids will be 12, 9 and 6. We have stayed at the Poly and, most recently the AKL.

Lets have your vote and your reasons.

Thanks a ton!

Normally, I would've chosen WL, but with all the transportation issues they have, I chose Y&B only because BWI wasn't listed. I think it would be awsome to be that close to WS during the Christmas celebrations.

WL rooms only hold four people unless you get a suite. So my vote would be for the GF cuz it is beautiful at xmas

Jennifer,

I swear that I thinking of putting in BWI...I must have forgotten while I was reflecting on our last trip! Happens only 5 or 6 times a day.

We are leaning toward GF concierge...OK, Jackie (DW) is leaning that way, therefore WE are leaning that way!

Thanks for the input so far folks.

The Grand Floridian at Christmas time is absolutely breathtaking! Also, its a monorail hotel, so getting to Magic Kingdom and Epcot (where we spend most of our time!) is so easy!!!

Being a monorail resort does put the GF ahead of the other resorts. We loved the transportation choices from the Poly when we stayed last Halloween.

At first I thought of Wilderness Lodge, but then I saw where someone posted about Epcot (my favorite theme park at Christmas). I would go with a split stay if you can - 1/2 at Beach Club, 1/2 at Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge.

During the 4th we stay at the Polynesian(with the re-hab we are leaning towards CR), but for Christmas we stay at the BWI.

We like to be near Epcot for all of their holiday festivities, and MGM for Osbourne Lights.

Your DW is right on the money about staying at the GF......they even have a gentleman in costume roasting chestnuts as you enter the building!!

Sorry, but I HAD to give my vote! - I'm pretty sure it counts, too!

I'm sure ALL the resorts are beautiful at Christmas time, but for some reason... I just have my heart set on GF.

However, the heart & the pocket book sometimes say different things... we'll see.

(Love you, honey!)

Jackie

I put Wilderness Lodge - but I want to qualify that, I would go with a 1 bedroom villa over there, comparable prices, much more "comfortable" for a holiday and still close to the parks!

Y&BC for Stromaway Bay for the kids. ;)
