I thought with all the speculation and rumors that seem to fly around from time to time about where people think the next DVC will be or should be, It would be interesting to see it in a poll format.

I am sure I have not covered all the possibilities but I have tried to give enough choices that may peak many people's interest.

I am sure this has been done before but I cannot seem to find one.

I am thinking, especially in a slow economy, that they have diluted the market quite a bit with all the recent expansion--personally, not a bad thing for me. However, I think we may not see a new DVC site while the market adjusts. If I am wrong, DVC seems to be such a moneymaker, that they know the sky will be the limit, and I think they have learned with adding on with Bay Lake Tower.

For the next site(s), I would guess at the Poly and Grand Floridian (I voited Poly).

I think they'll wait until after Hawaii is near selling out before considering another offsite location.

I didn't vote yet, but when you say "someplace in Europe" would that include having a DVC at Disneyland Paris? Not that I'd make it too often, but I bet a LOT of people might be willing to have that be their home resort. :confused3

I agree - nothing new seems to be on the horizon, at least not while they have so many properties still available.

Since the poll asked where we would like the next DVC to be and not where we think DVC will put one - I voted for the Caribbean. We'd love to have the option to get there at the 7 month mark with our current points and/or buy enough points there to go once every third year.

And I agree with tiberius:

I did not meant anything specific by "someplace in Europe". It just means that you personally would like to see DVC in Europe. In a place of your choice and that could definately be DL Paris.

The poll is meant to ask where you would want a DVC. Not where you think the next DVC would be.

I would be equally as excited to see a Lake Tahoe resort as I would Mexico or the Caribbean (maybe in the USVI to keep it simple enough to get to). But definitely would prefer someplace else besides FL so we wouldn't be at the mercy of RCI or the other expensive point options such as the Concierge Collection etc.

(I did not vote bcuz the choices offered did not meet my preferences.)

I voted for more interesting places in the U.S., but would also like to see DVC at Poly, GF, or POR.

I am very much opposed to having DVC at the VALUE resorts! There is no way to do that without cheapening the brand.

I think DVC could go to Riverside and provide rooms as nice as SSR and have a hit. They could make the theming and the story work. POR already feels so much like home to me, what not make it "home."

POP is just tacky.

Sorry - I didn't mean to imply that I thought DVC would build at DLP, but that people might want one there specifically for DLP. I would love one there - but only for one trip. :goodvibes I will vote now - and correctly!

i dont think that i am interested in a value dvc @ all.... i love POP century and can afford those accomadations in my sleep (not being rude) POP was my only onsite non-dvc stay and if it werent for POP and how well we were treated i would have never taken the DVC tour, falling love with AKV, and purchased when i did, but if DVC were at POP then there would be noooo need for me to take this $17,000+++ plunge i could just stay @POP.

Caribbean would be LOVELY...it all depends on where DVD takes DVC if they want to be like all the other companies and become a standardized timeshare well they head better spread their wings and fly!!!:scared:

I voted for the GF, but would love the Polynesian, too! A DVC in New York would also be great with so many options for entertainment, etc. :goodvibes

I voted DVC GF because that is my favorite resort. DS got his AKV and DH got his BLT so I need to get my DVC dream at GF.:rotfl: I also agree that a value DVC would not be cool. There is a reason that it is not even possible to transfer points into a ressie there. Besides the values are too much of a cash cow for CRO so I don't forsee one there.

I am wishing for a DVC in the caribbean on a fantastic beach.

I know they have Vero Beach, but I would like one more like the West coast of Fl. Calm beautiful big beach....:goodvibes

Somewhere in the Caribbean would be nice and it's easier to get to than some of the other places.

My vote is for the Poly. Before we owned DVC, that is where we stayed every time we went to the World. It will always be one of our most favorite. We have tons of great memories there.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I voted for the Poly. It would be great to have a second DVC on the monorail loop. After that I would like the Carribbean or Mexico, followed by the GF.

For the record, I voted caribbean. Seems to me like a nice compliment to what DVC has. There are many great locations at the World to choose from already. Not to say there aren't other great spots for DVC there such as Poly and GF. I agree with other posters that a value DVC is not for me. Value and DVC in the same sentence seems like an oxymoron to me because the whole reason for DVC is to be able to stay in Deluxe accomodations for a reduced overall cost.

From Disney's perspective......it is much cheaper to develop the property they already own and there are certainly synergies from having the properties in a cluster, so to speak, at WDW.

I know all this is just dreaming....but then again owning DVC was "just a dream" for our family at one time!!! The next ten years, or so, of development will be interesting to follow. I am sure for those of you who purchased 10-15 years ago, or longer, it has been exciting to see the growth.
