My mom, mil and bf are all going to WDW for a week in June....we are arriving around noon on our first day and I'm wondering where a good place to go eat would be....it would have to be a resort since we are not going to the parks at all that day...and we already have a 7pm ressie at Ohana's that night. Thanks for any ideas...not sure what the best lunch options are. Oh, and btw...we are staying at Pop Century. popcorn::

I wouldn't pick a table service. Ohana is a ton of food. Eat something small. The food court at Pop is fine, maybe Earl of Sandwich if you care to venture over to DTD.

I agree. If you aren't going to the parks, I would go to DTD. You have Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express for CS or Ghiradelli for something yummy sweet!!!

I agree too! Ohana is a ton of food. I would get something from the POP food court or Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD. If you REALLY wanted to go resort hopping maybe Beaches and Cream @ BC.

I would go to DTD and get a good lunch at Wolfgang Puck...YUM!

I am detecting a pattern here. I too would recommend WPE or Earl of Sandwich. Probably Earl because it is a smaller meal and you want to leave plenty of room for Bread Pudding at 'Ohana.

I agree with pp that Ohana is a lot of food (and worth eating every bite of it!), so don't fill up too much on lunch. We usually just eat at our resort food court on check in day because we're usually hungry after travelling all day(usually up since 5am). We eat in the food court while we're waiting for our room and then walk around the resort.

DTD is also a great option, but I wouldn't do a TS.

Good ideas...is Pop's lunch any good? Or are we better off eating at another resort? We are planning on doing DTD on our last day.

Our favorite thing to do is head over to WL and eat at Roaring Forks. They have sandwiches, salads, burgers, flatbreads, and really really good pastries. It's nice to grab something to share(the portions are big enough) and sit out in the courtyard and relax. :flower3:

My boyfriend and I are planning on going to Earl of Sandwich on our first day, so I'm glad everyone's suggesting it. I'm excited because I've never been there, but I've heard so many good things. :yay:

It all depends on when you arrive at POP.

If your arrival time is 10 AM at POP then I would store the bags with POP, if the room is not ready.
:goodvibes Either go to DTD, not use a park ticket day, and pick a place your family likes by checking out the menu's. We like RFC and have not trried T-Rex.
:goodvibesOr, if you are willing to use a park ticket day, then go to a park of your choice and make a 12:30 PM ADR somewhere.

:goodvibes If your arrival time is 11:30 AM or later at POP, I would just eat lunch at the CS at POP, and see if your room is ready after eating lunch. Then decide what you want to do for the afternoon if the room is not ready - walk around POP and discover it's amenities, go to DTD, play mini-golf, ride bikes, rent a boat - do what ever your family likes.

We arrive at our WDW resort always around 11:30 AM - and always eat at our resort.
Dolphin - Picabu's
WL - Whispering Canyon Cafe
CR - Counter Service (not sure of the name change)

I would most likely go to Earl of Sandwich since we love, love, love it. Did I mention that we love it?

Second thought would be to just stay at POP, eat at the food court which is good and then just enjoy the afternoon at the pool or explore POP. This plan would give you time to totally get settled in your room too.
