Where would you eat for no park visit?

I was going to suggest Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Resort, unique Themed and food, plus you can see animals.

I would probably wait until the morning I docked and figure out food as I go instead of planning the whole day ahead of time. Although, as long as I had at least 5 hours to kill, I would probably do a DS/Resort tour, but I would try to see resorts that I have not visited before and eat at restaurants, TS or CS, that I have not done before and wanted to try.

Another vote for Sanaa. It has wonderful food for lunch. Ask for a table by the window to watch the animals. Fun!

If you want a lighter meal, the Beaches and Cream is nice at the Beach Club.

In the MK area, we like the Wave at the Contemporary. then it is fun to monorail around to the other resorts for a beverage and nice stroll around. OR you can boat over to FW and the WL for a bit of exploring.

Chef Mickey's or Ohana.

To me, being on the monorail would be a sweet taste of Disney World, and both restaurants are entertaining. If you have younger kids, Chef Mickey's would be the better choice.

I agree with visiting a monorail resort. Another choice is the
Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 park fare in Grand Floridian:
Join favorite Disney Friends for this fabulously festive, all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast buffet! “Popp in” for custom-made omelets, fluffy mini pancakes, Mickey-shaped waffles, carved ham and more.
  • Guests may meet such Disney Characters as:
    • Mary Poppins
    • Alice in Wonderland
    • The Mad Hatter
    • Tigger
    • Winnie the Pooh

The 1900 Park Fare breakfast is the best at Disney. That is such a great meal!

Those were the characters when I dined there. I like to make it a late ADR so that it's more like brunch. They have a chef cooking fresh omelettes and eggs. There is a nice smoked salmon display with bagels and lots of toppings (capers, hard-boiled eggs, etc.)

Eggs Benedict. Strawberry soup. :cloud9:

It's my favorite breakfast and character meal. Excellent choice. The shops and grounds of the Grand Floridian are so nice to see. I love the Basin shop there. Plus you can walk or monorail to the Polynesian--another great resort where you can stroll around.

I have a feeling you are going to see just about every non park restaurant on here.:-) There are so many good ones and they are all, at some point, someone's favorite. It's all subjective. There are several mentions of Homecoming on here. It was our least favorite of our trip. And I'm sure some won't agree with my recommendations. Disney Springs...Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich. Neither of which have the Disney feel to them. I agree with Raglan Road but I know you said you were more thinking resort hopping. I love the Polynesian. My favorite resort and since we can't afford to stay there we have to eat there. We LOVED Capt. Cook's. Seriously, their pulled pork nachos are fabulous! And a Dole Whip is right around the corner. I could spend all day walking around the Poly. We've never done Kona for lunch. Used to be my favorite breakfast anywhere. Buuuttt...they removed the Samoan. Sad sad day. Grand Floridian Cafe has a fantastic steak. Their burger with lobster is really good as well. Contempo Cafe, at the Contemporary, was really good, too. My daughter had a churro cupcake that she still talks about. Sanaa is a great choice, too. Not only for the animals but for the bread service. That's a mean by itself. And then you can walk around the resort and see the animals. I hope you have a fantastic cruise. Enjoy your time between the cruise and your flight home. I hope it's Magical.

I am another that will vote for Sanna. Probably my favorite place to eat on property. You can also easily kill a few hours between Kidani village and Jambo house.
If the Springs is where you think you want to eat, I'd probably vote for Blaze Pizza or Delux Burger.
I too recently ate at Home Coming and it didn't wow me. The service was bad. We were served cold food and had to send it back and the chicken - meh. I make better personally but that's just a personal preference. For the price, I expected so much more.
I also would be another one to sway towards Beaches & Cream for a fun atmosphere. Maybe a round of mini golf after at Fantasia Gardens behind it? Just a thought.

I would suggest the Kona Cafe at the Poly or The Wave at the Contemporary. Then after lunch take a ride on the monorail for a little extra taste of Disney magic :)
