Where would you eat dinner in MK?

We need an ADR for dinner at MK in a few weeks - we currently have one at the Plaza but I'm not sure that we want to keep it. LTT, CP, and Tony's all have openings. Which one would you chose, knowing the following:

- No dining plan
- DH and I only
- Eating 11:00 lunch at Teppan Edo

Do you like the Plaza - or would you go elsewhere? We've only done CP breakfast and never dined at the other 3.

I would keep The Plaza - or if you are interested in skipping at TS for dinner, I recommend Columbia Harbour House.

LTT: I am not a fan of an all you can eat Thanksgiving Dinner - except on Thanksgiving.
CP: Unless you need to see - I would skip this buffet.
Tonys: Personally, I found this to be expensive, terrible food.

The Plaza had fantastic sandwiches and salads and it is reasonably prices (in WDW currency)

If price isn't a big concern, I would consider taking the monorail over to one of the resorts for dinner..Kona is very nice.

I would also keep The Plaza. The food is good and you could order a sandwich and not feel stuffed. It's a cute little place and being just the two of you I think you will really enjoy it and the prices aren't bad if I remember correctly. Enjoy.

We went in Feb 2011 and were not on the dining plan. We went to Tony's Town Square for dinner. I only wanted the zucchini fries and dessert and my daughter got the spaghetti and meatballs. There were enough for us to share and be full. It was really good and it cost about $35 with the tip. We are going again in September and will eat there again and will be on the DDP this time. We did have lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern and it was great also. Two must dos for this trip for us. Have a great trip

I would go with Tony's. Usually I only like breakfast buffets, so I would only do CP for breakfast. And LTT I would only do for lunch since the dinner is a set cost per person and you don't have a choice in food.

I went to Tony's for dinner once last year and DH and I both enjoyed it. The food was good and we got to sit outside and people watch - it was nice.

I like LTT, but if I were eating at TE for lunch, I'd probably switch to a CS for dinner. I'd do Casey's or Columbia Harbour House.
What about a monorail restaurant, like Kona or the Wave?

Either the Plaza or LTT. We really liked LTT, we did not like Tony's. Since you're having a big lunch, you might want to just keep Plaza and get a sandwich or something.

Maybe it's the atmosphere, but we really enjoy the Palace. I've noticed some Pooh-n-friends bashing on some sites, but we're down for another ressie there in Dec.

Based on the things you mentioned I would vote for Tonys. I know it gets mixed reviews here, however I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The Plaza is also a great choice. Whatever you choose have a wonderful time.

We always go to Plaza. I love it. It isnt as heavy, but still filling. We normally pay OOP for it, but it is one of my favorites.

I would vote 1st....eat a snack and then eat at one of the hotels...like the POLY or Beach Club if you are looking for something a bit more upscale or adultish..if you are staying in MK my vote would be CP. I like the food there and I like to see the characters too! You don't have to pose with everyone you can wave and they will walk on if you are no into them. Hey it's Disney - Characters Welcome!

This might strike you as odd, but out of the numerous TS places we ate on our last trip (February 2010), I think the Plaza rates up there with my favorite meal of the trip. Its inexpensive (a bonus if you're not on the DDP) and the food is delish, but simple. The fries are great and I had the most amazing tuna sandwich. Dessert's not bad, either, if you want an ice cream sundae immediately after. And I love the beaux arts styling of the interior. So, yep, another vote for keeping the Plaza.

I'd keep the Plaza but it's all a matter of taste - have you looked at the menus to see what food sounds the most appealing?

Do not eat at Tony's! This place has the worst food on Disney property. I will admit the atomosphere is nice and the setting can be relaxing, but the food is awful. If you want characters do CP. If you want sit down, do LTT. If you just want to just eat and have good food keep the Plaza.

Though if you have the option you could always take the monorail to the CR or Gf which have great choices

After a heavy lunch I would rather go to the Plaza than Tonys, although I love the shrimp scampi from Tonys

The Plaza is very good and has the best french fries in all of WDW. The cheesesteak is very good too

I would not eat at the MK. We tried that a few times and the food was just plain. Instead I would pick a nice place at one of the resorts around the MK. DH and I will schedule something for early evening and then go over to the MK after.

If you pick something at the Contemporary, you can simply walk from the bus station. Or just take the monorail to Poly, GF or Contemporary. Also, we've taken the boat over to the WL as well.
