Where would you eat alone?

I'm making a short (1-night stay) trip down next weekend. I'm staying @ Pop, not going into the parks (at least that's the plan -- let's see if I can stick to it!) but plan to tour the Deluxe hotels, watch the water pagent and Wishes from the Poly beach and spend some time in DTD shopping for my girls :)

So, if you were eating alone -- at a resort or DTD -- where would you go?

I have a late ADR @ 'Ohana, as it's one of my favs, but I feel like that isn't a great place to eat by myself.

I don't want Signature dining and I don't think the food at AKL is for me.

Other places I've tossed around are Whispering Canyon and Trails End, as I've never been to either.

The other option is to grab something in DTD -- which is much more budget friendly and maybe not as awkward as eating in a restaurant alone?

So, what do you think?

I went to 'Ohana with my son when he was 5mo and sleeping, so it was like being alone. ;) I had a great time! They brought me tons of food though, way more than one person could eat but I did my best. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't hesitate to go to any of the restaurants alone, or sit at any of the resort bars that also serve food.

If you were going to a park I'd recommend Tutto Gusto.

Enjoy!

I have eaten at Narcoosees alone at the bar and it was great. Also GFC and Tutto Italia were nice for dining solo.

I will be solo for a few days after visiting Orlando friends. I am planning on dining at Kona and then watching the Electrical parage from the Polynesian. I have done this before and felt quite comfortable. Plus I love walking around this resort and looking in a few of the shops. :) This might work for you too! Have fun. Beachfan

I've gone on a few solo trips and had great experiences eating alone! I loved GFC, it was my first time there. Sanaa was another favorite as my server was amazing! I had breakfast at Kona solo too (OK so maybe I did this twice so I could get more Tonga Toast...). The Plaza at MK was a great place to people watch!

I usually bring my e-reader when I eat alone, but I'm a huge people watcher, especially at WDW. I find there's no shortage of amusement to be found from just sitting back and observing at any WDW restaurants!
