I don't like much in the way of real coffee. At BRV, I would just get the stuff from Roaring Fork. I'd get half caffeine and half decaf. Then I'd take it back to my room and load it up with Coffeemate from my grocery order and some sugar. Essentially eliminating most of the coffee flavor. Some mornings I just had tea.

At VGC, I didn't have anything in the morning. But on the way back to our room for an afternoon break, I'd get a Frappucino from Starbucks....which is barely considered a coffee drink. 😁
AstroBlasters googles: what is in coffee mate.

Google AI: Coffee Mate liquid creamer typically contains water, corn syrup solids, soybean oil, and ingredients like micellar casein (a milk derivative), mono- and diglycerides, and dipotassium phosphate

I use the powder kind.
CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL (COCONUT AND/OR PALM KERNEL AND/OR SOYBEAN), DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, AND LESS THAN 2% OF SODIUM CASEINATE (A MILK DERIVATIVE)**, SODIUM ALUMINOSILICATE, MONO- AND DIGLYCERIDES, ANNATTO COLOR.

Tasty! Ha! Really I just use it in place of milk. I like my coffee weak. And if I use milk...there's just so much that it makes the coffee too cold. 🤣 So the powder is a good alternative. I only really drink it on vacations though.

I would get some oat milk and then heat it up in the microwave using a glass measuring cup they put in the kitchens.

Oh no...I hate the powder "creamer" 🤢🤮🥴 there's something about it that makes the coffee taste weird. but it's no longer an issue for me since I drink black coffee now 😆

I used to work with baristas that didn't drink coffee, at all. I don't think I could do that, whatever I'm making I always want to taste them. Not just for my own curiosity, but so I can also make recommendations to customers.
Yeah I couldn't. Ive got it real bad. The smell would get me. If I see someone having coffee on TV I have to have some. I honestly don't know how I got by for 3 years without it. (pregnancy and nursing)

Have you ever seen Dude Dad and his wife? The skits they have about coffee mate are hilarious.

I am like that w/ food. Watching YT foodie vlogs is a real torture sometimes!
I don't have kids and never been prego, but if I were to ever get prego, no idea how I would survive without coffee, sushi, cheese and salami! 😂

No, I'll have to go check it out.

Yes and then use a cheap frother from IKEA. 🤌👌

No no no. I can just see the powder settling at the top.

I am a coffee snob 💯

I've never had the powder settle at the top in hot coffee before. 🤣

I think if coffee availability/purchases factor into people's DVC purchase decisions, then I think estimated coffee savings should factor in also. Think about all the times I DIDN'T go to Roaring Fork, Le Petite Cafe, Contempo Cafe, etc... I'm telling DH that I'm using my lifetime of savings as a water drinker toward a new DVC purchase.

And I never get a DVC discount on my coffee so I cant even use that as an excuse. You are for sure saving so much $$ The few times I did make it in the room, I had to buy bottled water to make it so any savings went out the window

Feeling lonely over here as a water drinker... pretty much all I drink except for the occasional juice if we're out to brunch...
I came here to say this! Haven't had caffeine in 25 years and will never understand how anyone thinks coffee tastes good. Please don't come for me, I know I am so in the minority on this. 😜 I did buy hubby a Nespresso machine a couple of Christmases ago so he's enjoyed that.
Hardest task I've ever had was going into a Starbucks at the Dis and trying to order a coffee for him. They don't like it when you don't know you are doing.

I'm about to do a full on powerpoint presentation for DH to show him how much money we save every year not buying soda so that I can install a fancy water station when we remodel our kitchen/pantry.

Starbucks at Disney is a whole thing.. so stressful even for us masters of coffee. I can imagine that was like writing a check at the grocery store with a looong line behind you just waiting on you. Even I have had when I look up at the menu and somehow cant find my words anymore and I feel like its my 1st time at Starbucks

It's totally okay people think coffee is gross and don't drink it. Not a crime if you don't like it 😉

What gets me is people who drink bougie foo foo coffee think they know coffee. If I ever hear anyone order a 16oz bone dry cappuccino...please get out!! 😒 Or anyone that orders macchiato at local coffee shop and think it's going to be a charrbucks (starbucks) macchiato and tell the barista that's wrong, not what they ordered, please also get out and go back to charrbucks! 😑 I can tell you that charrbucks baristas already have more patience than local shops. There are some will straight up tell you no, they won't make that drink simply because it's not what they do even though they can do it. Or they will correct you.
