Tendonitis Achilles on both sides of my heel and serious heel spur caused by the Tendonitis. Boot for a few weeks, then check in with Dr...it has been a week, boot, 2 meds and not any change. Fingers crossed! She did say it could take a long time. Guess that's what I get for exercising!!!!

I hope things heal quickly.

Aww, thank you, Karin. This did not keep me from the boards...just feeling sorry for myself that I have no trip planned and it will be THREE years since my last visit come November. Just had to pick myself up, shake off the sorrîes and be happy for my friends!

I really enjoy Erie !!It is only 2 hours away!! This trip was my idea and I pu the plans together for P &P !!! Tony my co escort and long time co worker has an idea for next year to King's Island that Patty from P &P LOVED!!!!!

I have more info on the flooded Group Home , I had shared that the flood occurred because a Town employee did NOT open the flood gates like he was supposed to , and the fire department had to evacuate them by Boat. Well I learned they had to get them out thru windows and they were scuba divers as Fire trucks couldn't even get down the street!! They came in by boat!! 1 employees car was totaled due to water damage and they think the 2house vans will be too !! The house damage is $35,000!! I feel sooo bad for the individual who are sleeping on cots at one of our Day Programs cafeterias , they are so dis conbobulated with all this !!!

No, don't feel bad! I feel bad enough for both of us!! It is the longest between visits since 1982!!! I'm a bit worried that there will be so many changes by the time I get back that I'll feel like a newbie!

The chaos this has caused is mind boggling !! Receipts were wet and had to be dried , computer was damaged and just doing he day to day stuff is a nightmare !! I am taking call on my day off to give the Supervisor her days OFF ,but I felt she needed the break !!!They are saying at least 6 weeks to repair the damage to walls , floors etc !!!All the appliances were ruined

Rosie, that sounds just so scary! I am so sorry those poor people had to go through this. When we had the flood here some people had to be evacuated by boat as well and it was not pretty. So I can imagine what it must have been like for your crowd.

Karin, I'm sorry....I should have said something sooner so you could make other plans...but I just did not want to believe that there wasn't some way I could make it happen. Reality has set in and I must face that fact that August is not happening. I was so looking forward to finally meeting you and Tom.

To add insult to misery, I will lose $300 in Southwest credit!!! they will extend it for 6 mos for a fee of $75 per tkt...but I have 2 separate reservations so it would not be much leftover after the $75 is deducted...nevertheless, I am going to ask.

Please remind me what days you'll be there in Feb? I know it is only a couple of days....but ya never know what scheme I might be able to come up with by then!

DP doesn't save any money anymore. Only for convenience these days. ::yes.: Of course, it can be nice not to think about cost of food once there. Even the free dining now says "up to a 10% savings" ... Can save so much more on a room only!

I do love Disney in February ...but early...later is peak season and big bucks!! Although I know that is when Karin will be there....I'd forgotten it would be peak season. I would have to go during value in early February. Oh, well. So much for my schemes!!!
