OF COURSE i have been reading yours!!! I haven't responded to anything since i am the last one in!!!
the whole squirrel story! I will NOT allow my kids NEAR one now!!! :rotfl:

Are you guys seen in the Disney video taken when you were waiting at RR???

No, we are not in the video...actually at the very time it was being taped, we were bandaging a little finger on a bench right across the way. :rolleyes1 We watched the whole thing being taped, though! :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, DS has a whole new "respect" for the little fluffy-tailed demons now! :lmao:

Wanted to say Happy Friday to everyone! Been VERY quiet!!! Hope i didn't lose you all?

So i see the country bears are back in town! I am very excited about this! Last time i saw it was in 1978!! I was 4. Now i can share it with my kids too!!! YAY!

Disney on Ice is coming to town! Well, In February it's something else to look FORWARD TO! popcorn::

Going to call the magic place and see how the Poly works with requesting rooms. the first time i was clueless about this. Last year i knew exactly where i NEEDED to be and by the pixi dust i got it! so this year i would like to either ask for Samoa or Tokelau...

Day 1 is still such a mess. i really cannot wait for some dates to be announced. I am stuck between the dessert party OR pirate cruise.. Read Oopsi's report and looks amazing. Im nervous about getting a good table for Wishes? Tell me more!!! help! i have it in the back of my mind that BOG will turn into a character meal :upsidedow Depending on the funds i really want to have something delivered to the kids from the florist. i LOVE the in room celebration we did in 2010. I saw this on ALL EARS i haven't heard of anyone talk about it so i am a little weary.
Also on All Ears i see the rehab section is now including Sept of 2013!!! :woohoo: we are getting closer and closer to some dates!! Yippee!!! :cheer2:
Playing with the funds again. If we possibly do get FD that would be even more off... I would change to Deluxe dining, and add a day.... any more time in Disney is perfect.

Hmmmm- this link is not working for me for some reason...probably just the cruddy network issues we have at work ALL. THE. TIME. :headache:

We missed it this year because we had JUST spent quite a bit of $$$ on tickets to another event. :sad1:

You already know how highly I recommend the P&P cruise. I do believe that it doesn't really matter WHAT table you get for the dessert party because I have read that everyone gets up and stands at the railing for Wishes...in front of all the tables. Suzi should be able to confirm this since she and her cousin did it on their July trip.

i have it in the back of my mind that BOG will turn into a character meal :upsidedow

That would be AWESOME!!!!

Haven't heard of that company, but I love allears...if the allears team recommends them I would be okay trusting them. :thumbsup2Just be sure it is an allears recommendation and not just some sort of "pop-up" advertisement that shows up while you are on allears.

*comments in red!

Yep...its nice having the tables out front, but not necessary. The front ones are all two seaters. But even us in front had to get up once the show started. And being in the back closer to the desserts would have a certain appeal too ;-)

I am still here...

Just sewing like crazy... Or maybe just crazy? :confused3

I am just glad TP has their best days out... I know exactly where I am going to be every single day...

My biggest obsticle is where in the world are we going to stay? I am still a hot mess about it... And then, the other night, I was talking to Josh about POFQ... And he throws in there "why don't you just stay at AKL for a few nights for fun?" AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - I just wanted to run away screaming, with my hands over my ears, singing "la, la, la, la, la...." And he has no idea that I've been struggling with this... :crowded:

So, I really would be of no good help to you right now Mo... I am in my own state of craziness... :faint:

D~

Okay...I think I'm basically caught up and should now be able to stay so.

Your triplets are adorable.

Our first several trips (I want to say the first 10) we drove from Chicago to Disney every year. The first time we flew was in 2000 during our son's last year of junior high when we took his baseball team down for a baseball tournament at Disney.

I'm a little confused (I did skip some of the chatter and may have missed some stuff in there). Are you still booked at the Poly? We love the Poly...just not the price tag. I'm not a fan of the monorail...find it overrated (we avoid it with the exception of one ride per trip to please hubby).

We are not fans of the values (even when our kids were little), but I promised DH we would stay at AOA in a Mermaid room for two nights on his business trip when he goes in April (I go with him...he just shouldn't be traveling to Florida alone ;)).

Awesome! I'm in need!!!
THANK YOU!!! this means a lot!!

Our first several trips (I want to say the first 10) we drove from Chicago to Disney every year. The first time we flew was in 2000 during our son's last year of junior high when we took his baseball team down for a baseball tournament at Disney.

PLEASE tell me more about your drive!!! How did you go? How long did it take you? how often did you stop? Yeah... I have questions.

I'm a little confused (I did skip some of the chatter and may have missed some stuff in there). Are you still booked at the Poly? We love the Poly...just not the price tag. I'm not a fan of the monorail...find it overrated (we avoid it with the exception of one ride per trip to please hubby).

WHAT YOU SKIPPED?!?!? i wouldn't understand why????:rotfl:
Your confused?!?! welcome to the inner workings of my mind!!!
I am booked at the Poly. I LOVE it there, whenever i see the pictures of AOA i start rethinking.... maybe i should stop the subscriptions for anything AOA... :rolleyes1

We are not fans of the values (even when our kids were little), but I promised DH we would stay at AOA in a Mermaid room for two nights on his business trip when he goes in April (I go with him...he just shouldn't be traveling to Florida alone ;)).

Never stayed in a value. I am a bigger family and i know i would have to get two rooms. AOA would accommodate all of us and it is just so darn cute!!!

THAT is something Disney should offer for all of us that cannot make up our minds in where to stay... D~ i think you need to start that.

I forgot to ask... TA has 2013 dates out?!?! Think i should join???

We're Disney addicts...we're all in need. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

PLEASE tell me more about your drive!!! How did you go? How long did it take you? how often did you stop? Yeah... I have questions.

We would leave at 3 a.m. from Chicago to avoid rush hour traffice and stop one or two nights...depending on weather conditions, how the kids were behaving, how tired DH was, etc. If we stopped only one night, we would try to make it ALL the way to Valdosta, Georgia. If we stopped two nights, we usually stopped somewhere in Kentucky, then Georgia and then we were in Disney. Now, don't forget, gas was a LOT cheaper back then, as were rooms. However, I know that flying can be very expensive too.

WHAT YOU SKIPPED?!?!? i wouldn't understand why????:rotfl:

I would love to stay at the Poly next year for our 30th wedding anniversary as Mark loves it; but I think we'll end up back at Old Key West because you just can't beat the price and we do love it there.

Never stayed in a value. I am a bigger family and i know i would have to get two rooms. AOA would accommodate all of us and it is just so darn cute!!!

We stayed at a value when the kids were probably 9 and 11 or close to that (this was after having stayed at the Contemporary and Polynesian or offsite for all of our previous trips). Let's just say it "doesn't fit our vacation style" and after three nights I made my husband get us moved to a moderate (hence, the CSR became our home for nine of the next elevent trips). The values are fine...especially with kids if they are into all the big icons, etc. We just found them way too busy and noisy for us...we like to relax at the resort midday (even the kids did) and it just didn't work for us at the value.

FYI...I have a TR going (linked in my signature) as well as a PTR for our surprise trip in December for hubby's 60th birthday if you are so inclined. :goodvibes

I probably saw Country Bears as a kid...however I don't remember if I did. Not sure if I will ever see it...maybe one day!

I totally need to do this next time it comes around here.

Going to call the magic place and see how the Poly works with requesting rooms. the first time i was clueless about this. Last year i knew exactly where i NEEDED to be and by the pixi dust i got it! so this year i would like to either ask for Samoa or Tokelau...

I need dates to be announced too. I feel like I don't have anything to base my plans on. I have not done the Dessert party or the Pirates cruise, but I have heard GREAT things about both. With the kids...my vote is for the Pirates Cruise.

That is a very interesting view on the Values - I often wondered the same thing about them, we really love the mid-day breaks, and I was thinking that the Values never really stop? They just seem so high energy all the time. :confused3

ACK... Now I have to go find your PTR - I didn't realize you'd started another one... Or did you tack in on the your previous PTR?

THAT is something Disney should offer for all of us that cannot make up our minds in where to stay... D~ i think you need to start that.

I forgot to ask... TA has 2013 dates out?!?! Think i should join???

That is totally up to you. I find that TP is extremely valuable to me, since we are not a park hopper family - and I won't spend the $$ on them, unless there is some reason where I must. So, I find the $10+ that I have to spend on TP vs. $100s I have to spend on PH is a much better value. I used to use Tour Guide Mike, but I have heard in recent years that he doesn't keep his info up to date like he used to - as in - he didn't have his best parks info out in time to make the 180 day ADRs... Not sure if he has gotten better about this - but his projections were dead on. We used TP last year during spring break, and I do think the predictions were very close to what it actually was. I guess, my thought is, if you're gonna spend thousands on a trip - $10 isn't going to make much difference. LOL And yes - TP does their crowd predictions 1 year out - they do change a bit once hours and special events are released, but for the most part, they stay pretty close to their original predictions.
