Well, we sure ate good. We shared all our vouchers, the food was so plentiful. Tax and tip was always paid for by the vouchers.
Quick and Casual vouchers were $11.00, and the Lunch vouchers were $29.50 through connections. We joined for a month through My Points.

Rain Forest Cafe:
We started out using a Lunch voucher at Rain Forest (good only at the AK RF). We were told we could use it all day..but we used it at lunch time, so we didn't check that out.
We had the Blue Crab Delight dip as an appetizer, and the stuffed lobsters, along with a smoothie for our drink, and banana Foster for dessert. All the food was wonderful..and the price would have been about $50 plus tax and tip.

Concourse Steakhouse:
Lunch voucher..our only semi disappointment.food was just "OK".
Fried Crabcakes (2 small cakes)..mango sauce was good..the cakes were a little greasy, and not as tasty as at the Rainforest. Service was just OK.
8 oz. grilled filet mignon..steak was OK, and potatoes were almost runny. Bread was good.
Double chocolate cake was prob the only item we didn't finish in DW! It was sort of hard..maybe it was stale? Cost ~$37.00 plus tax and tip.

Beaches & Cream,
Quick and Casual :
Once again we were told the voucher has changed, so although we still got great value, it wasn't as good as the past. Since their food comes with a side, you can no longer pick out another side. This night we got a smoothie (I love the Creamsycle smoothie, and they split it so nicely..we both get a full one!), the Prime Rib (w/FF or fruit), and we split a banana spit (at this time we could have gotten a Kitchen sink, but we along with others were being told that once the new vouchers come out, they will be excluded..who know's if it's true). Cost..~$23.00 plus tax and tip

Rain Forest Cafe:
Lunch Voucher:
Big Blue Crab Delight - Creamy homemade dip loaded with tender crabmeat and served with crispy tortilla chips for dipping, Surf & Turf (not on the menu..I heard about it here)..one of the stufed lobsters, and steak (our waiter suggested Primo..not sure what kind it was, but it was wonderful). Came with the usual rice and veggies, Banana Foster, and a smoothie. No idea what the price was, since it wasn't on the menu..but I'm betting it was up there. Wonderful!!

Beaches & Cream
Quick and Casual:
Bowl of Chilli (large bowl..a meal in itself), and Caesar Salad with chicken, smoothie, and banana split. Cost ~$27.00 plus tax and tip.

Coronado Springs...Peppermarket.
Quick & Casual
This is one of the most confusing places to eat, as it seems very few speak English, or know how the vouchers work. Our server told us to pick one entree, one salad (she said any salad, but she was wrong..you can only get a side salad..although since our meal comes with sides, I don't know why you can even get that), and a dessert..she said a muffin, but we got cake. In any case, it was a good deal, and the food was wonderful..we would eat here without a voucher, although some of the items are expensive. You get plenty to share..so for two people the prices are reasonable.
We got the beef fajitas (enough for three), with rice and beans. A side salad (made with lots of different items, and large), and cake for dessert. Drink was just pop or coffee..hubby got the coffee. Cost ~$20.00 plus tax and tip for lunch.
A note about this place..your "fixins" are near each station..for instance with the salad, your bread and butter are included..with the grilled food, they have pickle and sour cream near it, and for the Mexican food, they have salsa, sour cream, etc near it. It took a little searching to find as no one seemed to understand what we were looking for, or speak English, as I mentioned.

Rain Forest Cafe:
Lunch Voucher:
Appetizer was crab cakes..very good! We ordered the Surf & Turf, (shrimp scampi, cocnut shrimp, and steak..first thing waiter asked was if we would like to upgrade our steak to filet mignon..we said yes..great choice!!). Cappuccino for hubby (so not worth it..coffee with a little whipped cream on top, which instantly fell in the coffee), and Key Lime Pie (yummy!!) Cost: ~$45.00

Coronada Springs, Peppermarket
Quick and Casual
We had the Carved Roast of the Day..which was prime rib (although we had a little problem ordering it, since the person behind the counter didn't speak English and kept trying to give us the rib eye), which came with baked potato and grilled vegggies (it said choice of two sides...but they didn't give a choice..lucky for us they picked good ones!). It was wonderful, and more than enough to share. We also got a side salad, although I don't know why. We got a strawberry shortcake type dessert..again, yummy!
Cost ~$29.00 plus tax and tip.

Beaches & Cream
Quick and Casual:
Smoothie (we really liked them!), single hamburger w/fries, banana split. Cost: ~ $19.00 plus tax and tip.

We ended our trip with a meal at Clam Bake at Cape May, at the Beach Club. After sharing meals all week, we really over stuffed ourselves. Everything was great as usual, except we missed the grilled veggies and the cheese station they normally have. Everything was wonderful here..and the price is reasonable without using any vouchers (which they do not accept). I'd like to say that once we were full, we just leaned back and stopped eating..but that would be a lie..we stuffed ourselves so much, all that we could do when we were done, was go back to our room and nap!! We're back home now, and will have to do a lot of walking, to work that meal off!

I think we have decided, that no matter how much we enjoyed all the "bigger" meals using the lunch vouchers, we will prob stick to the quick and casuals from now on. We usually don't eat such rich food in the middle of the day, and although we enjoyed it this time, we don't feel they are worth the cost. I gained 9 pounds even with all the walking and swimming!

Sounds Delicious! Do you know if you can use more than one voucher per party? Next Spring we'll have a party of 5: 2 adults, 3 kids so I think the food will be plentiful. Of course, we'll order extra drinks and possibly an extra side.

You can use as many vouchers as you want per table..we just couldn't eat more than what came with one...not and finish our ce cream LOL!
The waiters encourage you to get the pricier items..as the tip is included and based on your total. They really wanted us to get a kitchen sink..but we don't like our ice cream all mixed up with cake and brownies, etc. We have gotten them in the past when we've had grands with us. My sig has a pic of one.

Can you give me some info about them changing the vouchers? We are going in June and wanted to get the kitchen sink with the voucher. Do you know what there new policy will be? Thanks

I can only tell you what they told us. They said the next batch of vouchers (I assuem the ones that expire later than ours do) will have a disclaimer on them saying the Kitchen Sink is excluded. When we were there in May, they said that was the last night they were allowing them, but that proved to be untrue, since there was no disclaimer on the voucher. We asked each waiter we had this time, to see if the story was the same, and it was. They each said at this time you could no longer get a side, since their food came with one..and each waiter said that when this batch of vouchers expired..the newer ones will say KS excluded. We'll have to wait til someone gets one with the new expiry date on them to see if it's really true. I wondered why on earth they let you get it anyway. At the very least, it should be like a certain dessert is at Rain Forest (the Volcano)..you must be using two vouchers, to get it.

Thanks for the info. We may just ordered it on our own the next time anyway. We have a family of 5 and although at that time they will be almost 4 and (2) 3 1/2 year olds they can really put away some ice cream. This past summer we spent almost $16 just to get a banana split and a sundae at Ghiradeli's. So really if you factor out the $21.99 divided by 5 it is kinda a bargain for Disney.

If you are using vouchers, you still get a dessert..even if they no longer allow the KS at some time! We got the banana splits, and they are also very, very large. We shared each time. If you use two vouchers, you would get two ice creams..which in my opinion is better than the messy KS, with all of the ingredients all mixed in. You could get a banana split with one, and a mudslide with the other, if you wished. It ends up having just about as much icecream as a KS, but without so many different toppings/cakes/brownies/cookies to fight for your taste buds.

What's the expiration date on vouchers being sold right now? We're going in June 2003, so we've been waiting.

We have 6 Q&C vouchers we will use in a few weeks. We were planning on using them at B&C. I guess it is very new that they won't let you get another side with the meal ( my sister just returned about 2 weeks ago and she got the extra side)

Does anyone know if you can get the ceasar salad instead of the fries???( I OD on fries there)I wanted to split the meal with my daughter and we both rather have salad.

Anyone know??

Did you ever find out if you could use the lunch vouchers at the AK Rainforest in the early evening?? My family would really much prefer that instead of getting out of the pool early for an early dinner. thanks for sharing the prices, etc, I really enjoyed this. Now I just have to wait for the new vouchers and see what they say. We aren't going until July so I am waiting patiently.

They told us no, but that we could get the fruit instead. I then asked her to ask the manager, (and if he said no, to leave off the ff and we'd pay for the salad) and she did, and he must have ok'd it, since brought us a split side of salad (very small amount). She told us that was very unusual, and not something they want to get into doing. Next time we'll prob just get the fruit, and have it packed to go, and enjoy it later.

I think the no more extra side is new, since we had it in May...however, that is more in keeping with what the coupon says. And who knows what the rule will be tomorrow.

It's still a bargain, even without the extra side.

We are also planning on being in Disney in June of 2003. When should I purchase my vouchers? Probably wait until after Christmas? Do you think they will have the later expiration date on them by then?

One silly question...I plan on using 1 adult and 1 child's voucher at Rainforest Cafe in Oct. Does anyone know if these 2 vouchers would be enough to order the volcano dessert, or should I plan on using 2 adult vouchers instead, which would be way too much food for 1 woman and 2 young kids. Thanks!

It depends on the waiter/waitress. The kids menu does have a kids desserts section. We were told that the kids had to order off of that. Others have said that they have allowed them to be combined for the volcano.

Thanks,Patsal!
I will just wait until I get there and ask. I thought about using 2 adult vouchers, but there would be little savings and a lot of wasted food! If my SIL wants to try the restaurant with us, we may be able to justify the extra $$, but otherwise not. I tried searching for your other posts on voucher uses, but the search was down. Thanks for all the advice!

I don't think the Volcano s worth using up $60 worth of vouchers. It's not that big. The regular desserts are great..and most are big enough to share.
One other comment about using the vouchers...we don't often eat the way we did is past week. Instead of paying $30 for the voucher, and getting the expensive food, we could easily have spent less and still been full and happy at RF. We definately "pigged" out so that we got good value for our vouchers..and I'm paying for it in the tightness of my clothes. We'll stick with the Q & C's from now on.

I just ordered some vouchers this morning. I will let you guys know if its written that the KS is not included. As long as the No Way Jose is there....that's the main reason I'm going back!!

I will let you guys know if its written that the KS is not included.

They have to be the new vouchers..with the new expiration date. At least that's what the waiters all said. But then we were told that before, and that lasted only a few days (that the KS wasn't included). Of course that time they said it was allowed again, since there were no restrictions on the voucher. YOu would think they could make their own rules like RF did for the Volcano ice cream.

Well, before the "you can't have another side" rule, we went there just about every day of our vacation. We were always allowed to order a chicken caesar salad as a side, except for one day. We were told we could get the salad minus the chicken. In the same breath we were told we couldn't, we said "But we can order the $20 desert???" "YES". Um, ok.
You're right about making rules and sticking to them.
