Where was all the snow this morning!

Went to bed last night with the TV weather person spreading doom and gloom and warning of 4 to 6 inches of snow this morning!
The DW and DDs were looking forward to a day off school and I was looking forward to an hours crawl to work on ice covered roads.

Woke this morning and there was not even an inch of snow on the car!

Nothing here either over the last couple of days - messages of doom saying "all of kent covered by think blanket of snow" but it's just cold and a bit of sleet in the air.

In Sheffield! (well some of it)

The plus side is that school is closed and I got most of the day off, once we'd made sure that all the kids had got the message and were safly back home.

It has snowed ALL day here in Mansfield and is quite thick. nearly all the schools have been shut, except for mine of course!!! I just want it to go away now!!!!

yes same here we didnt get any either shame would have been nice i think kent had it all still only 14 days to go for wdw trip cant wait

The forcast wasn't very hopeful for us getting any either

My dad phoned this morning and told me he's skipping work even if there is no snow, apparently he'd decided the trains would all be down and psyched himself up for a day off work, so decided to have the day off anyway

I'm desperately waiting for a chance to wear my new snow boots. I bought them at vast expense last year after the all the snow, and decided that they'd pay for themselves in no time. And they've still got the labels on! Argh!

My mother was raving on lastinght we was going to be ALL WHITE today.
I knew we wouldnt be, here we've had rain,and its freezing,not seen any white at all,everywhere else is white bar here

Why rain? we can have rain at any time, I want snow...

We had snow here in East Devon - not enough to get excited about but there was an inch on the road / grass.

Yep, woke up to chaos in Sheffield yesterday and white over!
No school for DD and I had to take her sledging - groan! ;-)
Looked as tho the worst was over this morning as no snow. Did the school drop off and eek, IT'S SNOWING AGAIN!!
