Where to watch Fireworks outside of park?

Hey all! We are driving and will be arriving at the DLH around 3pm on a Sunday. We are not planning to go into the park that evening. But it seems like that will be our only chance to see Fireworks (since we leave on Thursday morning). Are there any spots outside the park, like in DTD or at the DLH to watch the fireworks from? Just hoping to let my daughter catch a bit of them that evening after dinner.

Thanks so much!

We usually arrive in town the afternoon prior to going in & we never miss the fireworks. We walk around DTD until almost time for the fireworks & then go & sit in the center of the esplanade (sp?) the area between DL & DCA. You don't get to hear the soundtrack, but it is still beautiful & you feel like you're really there!!! We love it & you won't be alone.....we had lots of people sitting & watching everytime we've gone.

I don't think you mentioned where you were staying....in the slimest of chances you are staying at the Desert Inn, they have a rooftop viewing deck for the fireworks that we've watched from.

Enjoy & have a magical trip! :wizard:

We've watched them from our hotel on Harbor Blvd, from DTD and from the entrance plaza between DL and DCA. From any of those locations you will see most of the show, but you'll also miss some of the not-so-high flying effects.

The parking garage at Mickey and Friends. Take the elevator to the top floor and evenings often there is free parking. I got a good view from the 5 freeway but that is not safe to do when driving, lol.

Can you see the fireworks from Hojo's?

We stayed in a theme park-facing room at HoJo last month, and yes, we could see the firworks from our room. There was just a bit of intereference from a tree or two from our particular room.

They pipe up the music at Paradise Pier hotel, so if you watch it outside of there you will hear the soundtrack too, and if you go to the pool on the 3rd floor, (no room key needed) you can get a decent view.

Thank you so much everyone! :) I am so excited. It will be a surpise for her. Glad she wont miss out on it.

Yeah outside the park in the plaza area is my ultimate favorite "Out of the park" spot to watch the works. Cause there are a few hundred other people sitting on the ground with you and enjoying it just as much. So your with a bunch of other Disney nuts who are just having as much fun as you.

Right under the hat, as you exit the hotel grounds, heading into DTD is a good view. We watched them from that area several times last trip. If you get a DTD facing room, you might have a swell view inside your room!

You could also walk up DTD and see them very well from the Espanlande area in between DCA and DL. Occasionally, they will pipe the music into that area which makes it even better. You'll see lots of people in that area, plopped down watching them. That spot is my favorite out of the park spot, its as close to the magic as you can get!

I like to watch them from either the DLH itself either in my room or under the hat, or down in the Espanlande area. In between, along DTD itself, the crowds, the trees and buildings, and the noise of the entertainment, it all distracts in my opinion.
