Good Morning. I need a little help. My mom just broke her knee cap and had surgery yesterday to put it back together, and my parents are going to Disney 3 weeks from tomorrow. I am going to surprise DD by taking her down to WDW for a week while they are there. My question is this: We are arriving at about 7:00pm and would like to head directly to Epcot for Illuminations. Where is the best spot to view Illuminations from in a wheelchair? Is there a specific area for this? With limited time, I want to make sure that we go around World Showcase in the right direction that night.

Thank you all for your help!!

There is a great place for wheelchair parking in between Canada and the UK. There is a area where there are no trees to block your view. There are benches too. Good luck and enjoy. It was our first time viewing and we are looking forward to going back!

I like the wheelchair area dead centre on the Futureworld side of the lake between the two shopping pavillions. No trees to block your view.

DS likes to view IllumiNations from his wheelchair on our balcony at Boardwalk Villas! :thumbsup2 Then he can roll inside again and still get to bed at a decent hour. ;)

However, if we want to get the full view in Epcot, we like the Futureworld location at the top of the lake, or just over by Canada (a bit closer to the International Gateway for us).

Enjoy!

We typically go in the summer and sit in the area near canada--
the cm's are organized and make sure as many w/c's as possible can fit.
They said one person can sit in front of the chair and others behind it .

however in October during a less crowded time the cm's weren't organizing the area at all. One family had a w/c and then a baby carriage and adult family members all along the front. This required us and other w/c's to sit in the second row --

That wouldn't have been to bad if the baby hadn't started to cry and the mother decided to stand and rock the baby there in the front. She got annoyed when folks nicely asked her to sit or move! If we hadn't seen the show many times I should would have been upset with her behavior and rudeness!
