We arrive tomorrow and I just got an email from Disney and it says my arrival time is midnight. I don’t recall ever putting in a time. I am using Disney Express and they know I arrive at 11:30am.

it says to go to my Disney experience to update on line check in. I have liked and looked and don’t see where I put i ln arrival times. Anyone know?

Assuming you have put the reservation in MyDisneyExperience, go to MDW, sign in, under MyDisneyExperience go to My Plans, and then where your reservation is shown there should be a tab saying either "Modify Check-in," or, if you have not done it yet, "Check-in," Click on that and on the next page that comes up, click on either "Show" or "Details" and one of the things listed that can be added or modified will be "Your Resort Arrival" time.

It won’t let me update resort arrival time because it says Disney Magical Express. I am using the magical express bus so they have my correct flight times.

I did a chat on DVC website and they said not to worry about arrival time in the email. But then next chat said I could update it but again no where it shows a midnight arrival . Ugh. I am not going to worry about it. Maybe I will get room faster with them thinking I am arriving at midnight instead of around noin

Have you already done online check-in?
We did on a previous stay and the default arrival time is midnight. You have to scroll down to actually see the arrival time section and then can choose a different time. I think it is a terrible system to have the default be midnight. We were doing a split stay, and when we went to our second resort about 5:00pm and asked when our room would be ready they told us it was ready. I then asked why we had not received a room ready text, and they said even though our room was ready, the texts do not go out until a few hours before the scheduled arrival time and that is when I found out our scheduled arrival time was midnight.
I asked why our scheduled arrival time showed as midnight when I had not seen a place to enter an expected arrival time when I did online check-in earler that morning. It was only then I found out that you need to scroll down when doing online check-in to enter your expected arrival time and if you don't go to that section and change it, the default will be midnight.
It would seem better if there was no default, and if you did not enter an estimated arrival time when you first submited your online check-in you would get an error message that said please enter an estimated arrival time and resubmit. However, it is Disney IT.

I did on line check in already. Now arrival time is not able to be edit. All it shows is Disney Magical Exoress. You would think that would default the arrival time as they have my flight information.

even during on line check in I never saw arrival time. Wonder because I have an reservation on Magical express bus.

It defaults to that for DME and can not be changed. It just means you won’t get the text until you get there to let them know you have arrived.

Does that mean if you are arriving via DME you can not get a text with your room number and go directly to your room?
You need to go to the front desk and let them know you have arrived?

That has been my experience.

Thanks for suggestion. I did the chat but they said they don’t see arrival times.
For my August trip, I had the same experience where my reservation stated I was going to arrive at midnight. I was able to get the CM on chat (DVC) to put a note or the like that we were actually arriving around 11am. We got a room ready text before we even got to the resort.

I should have added though that we always go the front desk first anyway no matter how we arrive. So, it’s never been a big issue because once we do, and tell them we have arrived, then the texts work like normal.

Glad it works great for you, but I thought Disney/DVC was really pushing the go direct to room with no need to stop at the front desk option, which it sounds like from your experiance is not available for members arriving via DME.

ETA: If you arrive before your room is ready it is not an issue to stop at the front desk, tell them you have arrived and have "the texts work like normal" However, if you arrive after your room is ready, it would be nice to get the text in advance and be able to go directly to your room and skip the front desk.

One thing I got to thinking about. Since we always visit the front desk, regardless, maybe the text feature would have worked?

I just know I don’t get the text “Your room Is not quite ready yet” at the time of arrival like I do when I come via car service.

Just wanted to give update. We did get a text with our room number when our plane landed. We are in a room that does not have Murphy bed and so far we can not can not connect to the hotel wi-fi. We do have a view of the quiet pool.
