Where to take adult friends new to DW?

We've invited a couple that have never been to DW to join us at SSR for a long weekend in a couple of weeks. They are very excited about the whole Disney experience -we're staying at SSR and looking for nice restaurants at night, but ones where they really feel like they are at Disney. Right now we have ressies at Whispering Canyon and Turf Club - both of which we like, but I'm feeling like we're missing a true Disney experience there. Any ideas... want something a little nicer than Chef Mickeys, must have wine, and not impossible to get into at this late date. Thanks in advance.

When we took my best friend and her husband last year for their first visit, they liked 50's PTC better than any of the other places, including many of the signature restaurants.

I also think Ca Grill, with its incredible view of MK, is very Disney-esque. Plus it's at the Contemporary, one of the original Disney hotels.

Jiko has an AMAZING wine list and it is so fun to go to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Food and service are also great! Not sure it has that "Disney" feel, but the theming is very nice.

We did a week with friends on the DDP. Of several restaurants we went to, they liked Spoodles the best. We are going with them again in September. The only request that they have is to return to Spoodles. They have awesome pitchers of Sangria. The Boardwalk also has great Entertainment itself. Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar on the Boardwalk. Flying Fish Cafe is also on the Boardwalk, and it has really good seafood, as well as a decent wine list. Either restaurant, together with the Boardwalk, will give you a great adult Disney experience.

Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge is another great Disney experience. The AKL is beautiful. It has its own savannah to view. The signature restaurant is Jiko. It has the largest African wine list in the US. Really good food, too.
