I am looking for the best deal on a place to stay near Disney World. 6 adults and 4 kids (one is an infant.) We will be driving and will have 2 cars.

Try the 3 bedroom or 4 bedroom units at Bonnet Creek.

When we have staid off site we loved staying at Windsor Hills. They have private townhomes 3 bed 3 bath with washer/dryer, kitchen, splash pool. Also there are regular vacation homes and condos available to rent from owners. Most are decorated cute with Disney themes. We have also staid at its sister property Windsor Palms. Both are not that far from the park. I prefer Hills because its newer but both were great. Check out www.homeaway.com or www.vrbo.com

Hope that helps have a great trip :)

I have been looking at houses for rent in the area. I just saw a post on here about another option I hadn't heard of, renting an RV and a space at Fort Wilderness. What kind of on-site perks do you get when staying at Fort Wilderness?

Among others, you get free parking at the parks if you drive your own cars. Or, you can ride the Disney buses. I assume there are FP+ advantages (for now) and you can do the dining plan if you wish.

BTW, 10 people in even a large camper is not going to allow much "personal space".

We have stayed at Windsor Hills twice and loved it. Check out All Star Vacation homes, they have a lot of options and are a great company to work with. Google for discounts also through them!

We stayed with a large group at Marriott's Imperial Palms last summer, they sleep 10 easily and are on the grounds of the Marriott World Center so you have access to their pool and water slides. The teeneagers with us loved it, they were over there every day/

We rented a cabin here:

I don't know if that would work for you or not as you'd surely need at least 2 of them. We had a 1-bedroom unit with a loft where the kids slept. They also have 2-bedroom units - not sure if they have a 2-BR version with loft or not. They are several styles.

Anyway, I will say we enjoyed our stay there and it was VERY convenient to all the Disney parks and with numerous dining options nearby. When we were there, some of the cabins were still owned by individuals and we actually rented ours through VRBO rather than through the resort. The resort then bought our cabin prior to our trip, but honored the agreement we made with the former owner. Not sure if the resort currently owns all the cabins, or if you can rent from individuals still. Anyway, might be worth a look.

Windsor Hills is very nice. Lots of room in the 3BR units and you're 5 mins from AK and only 10-15 from Epcot, MGM and the T&T center.
