Help!

Coronodo Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter or Port Orleans Riverside?? :confused3

We can't decide where to stay!

Any preferences? Or does anyone have any picture to share so we can try and make a decision?!

Steffi xx

We love POFQ. It has become our home resort. Oddly, it is completely contrary to my normal taste in decor but the size and intimacy of the resort and the atmosphere is what appeals to us there. Riverside is also beautiful if you like something a bit less 'old' looking. I think as far as theming goes, CSR would win my vote but we have never stayed there because we fell in love with POFQ and can't help going back every year now :lmao:

I realise not everyone is going to have the same taste but I will get you started by promoting my favourite resort with some pics :goodvibes

Me and my family loves coronado springs so much, we've stayed there three times !
and that's the only resort we've repeated staying at,
the foodcourt is awesome, the themeing is cute and relaxed, the pool is huge! and the resort grounds are beautiful, it also has a marina, so you can paddleboat/seeracers etc.

WE've stayed at port O French quarter once, and we didn't like it, i don't remember much of it anyways. Definately our least favorite resort we've stayed in.

I have some lovely pool photos but my photobucket account is in such a shambles from those pics I will need to dig them out once I locate them :rolleyes1

This is exactly what I mean when I say what is wonderful for one family may be a nightmare for the next. :thumbsup2 I can't imagine a trip to Disney without at least a part stay at POFQ we love it so much. But obviously what we look for in a resort is different to what you enjoy. Thank goodness or there would be too much competition to get a room ressie there :rotfl2:

Check out Andre's site for POR/POFQ http://www.portorleans.org/
Lots of info on there.

I won't pay the prices myself but if I were to choose I would go for POFQ, I did once book it but cancelled when I got a AP discounted rate at AKL cheaper. Really like both there and POR, we goto both their foodcourts. Don't like look of CSR myself but others do.

Thanks for that guys - Lee, those photos are lovely.
I wasn't expecting everyone scream the same hotel at me, I just wanted to see "actual" photos of your experiences, rather than standard shots!

I think we're going to have to pick one at random... we've never stayed at any, therefore don't have a preference.

Wish us luck! xx

I don't think you can really go wrong with any of those three. Put it this way, all of them have something really special about them and there are benefits and trade offs for each one. You just need to decide what you are willing to compromise on/what doesn't matter too much, and what is most important to you.

Have you had a look at the main resorts photo forum?

No I hadn't actually, I'll have a look in a minute at CSR!!
(We did eenie meenie minie mo! :rotfl:)

So excited now! xx

I'm with 2tiggies on this one...LOVE POFQ and POR..:thumbsup2
love the boat to DTD
love that fact that you have so many pools (2main pools and lots of quiet ones)
love the fact that you have a choice of two food courts
love the fact its so pretty
Also its just being refurbished and now has queen beds. (lots of sections have been done now)
Love the fact that all areas are all close to the main buildings
Love that POR has the best entertainment and people travel a long way to come and see Bob Jackson in the River Roost Lounge..
Love the fact you can walk between the two resorts in a matter of minutes..
Really if you stay at either POR or POFQ they are so close to each other its like staying at the same one, if you get what I mean!

As you can tell I am a HUGE fan and prefer it to the delux resorts I have stayed in and have missed it if I have stayed else where...:)

Looked around CSR and did not like it as it has a convention centre and it was full of people and very busy and also thought the walk from the rooms was quite a long way from the futherest corner. Thought the food court was limited. But as PP said what one person likes another might not. Andre's site is excellent by the way..

I'll pump up your excitement then: FAB theming, definitely one of my favorite forms of decor and you'll really like the food court too :thumbsup2

I have stayed at POR And loved it going back there with kids in oct:yay:

Have a look at some CSR photos Here

We are looking forward to staying there for the first time this year :)

POR is lovely too, I would stay there again. Part of me is a bit sad that we're not spending any time at the Pop this visit, but with lots of family joining us too we decided one base would be best.

Thankyou everyone for all your help :goodvibes

We put the deposit down last night for CSR, and this morning I took a quick peek at the link... it looks perfect for us! We love that sort of theming, but I'm sure after your raving reviews of Port Orleans, we'll take a wander round there :thumbsup2 see what all the fuss is about! ;)

Thanks again :)

There are some great videos on AllEars of the Port Orleans resort.

This might sound obvious but also look at the maps and work out how you would enjoy your holiday if you were placed in the worst possible room position for your family. I failed to take this into account when choosing ASMu over ASSp - not a big difference but the walk from the furthest room at AsMu became quite a drag in the August heat.

CSR was our 'home' until we bought DVC - we love the resort :thumbsup2

We always liked the Pepper Market although i know others don't!
