Ok i am in a quandry about where to stay for our 25th wedding anniversary. We spent our honeymoon in Disney and now i need something special for the wife. The Grand Floridian is out and so is the POLY. The poly she disliked when we were there last and the GF isnt our style. It is only going to be me and the wife next october. I know i have more then a year but i need to start planning and saving some cash. Any help would be greatly appreciated along with any tips you guys might have for some romantic things to see and do while we are there.

Thanks

Hi and welcome!

Can you give us a better idea of your style?

Would the Yacht/Beach Club be a better fit? The Contemporary? The Swan/ Dolphin???
Take a look at the fact sheets at www.allears.net

Depending on your preferences here are some ideas:

The Beach Club is one of my favorites because of the location and the pool. Walking distance to Epcot is wonderful. The Beach Club ( IMO ) is less stuffy than the YC or GF.

I am also a fan of Wilderness Lodge. A little rugged, but still a deluxe resort. Great theming AND it's price is less than most deluxe resorts.

If you are looking at something more on the moderate side, then I find that I like POFQ best. Again, get themeing and I love the intimate feel of this resort. ( Plus, I am a big fan of New Orleans )

Have a great time planning.

My wife and I try to spend our anniversary with mouse every year we can.
We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge many times and it has become our favorite. We love the theme, the music being piped into the lobby, the fireplace, the rocking chairs, the pools and hot tubs. We have found the CM's to be very friendly there as well. We have never had a bad trip at WL.:goodvibes It has good onsite dining and the Mercantile is a nice shop. Also, has boat to MK (we love riding the boat-we love the horn) and it is a MK resort, which we love as MK is our favorite park!!

If you can get Club Level at WL, it is even better as they spoil you wrotten up there. :rotfl:

We have also had good experience at CBR as well. The resort was very quiet and we had a relaxing vacation there as well. It has a good food court onsite, nice shopping, hammocks on sandy beaches!! The rooms are the size size (square footage wise) as WL so we had enough space for all our stuff. We were pleasantly surprised at CBR.

I guess it comes down to your preferences and your likes and dislikes. If you want to relax, these 2 resorts are great. I do prefer WL over CBR but both are very relaxing and have a nice theme. Hope this helps!

We've stayed at the Contemporary, the Poly and the Coronado Springs (CSR) (we also stayed at a value but I wouldn't consider that for a 25th anniversary. You said the Poly is out and we just don't care for the new themeing at the Contemporary. I agree with you on GF--not our style either. We feel the same way about the WL--just not into the woodsy, log cabin style inFlorida.

DH and I spent our 25th anniversary at the Coronado--but we are very happy with our moderate and can't justify the cost of a deluxe with two boys in college. However, we really like the AKL and plan on doing a split stay there next year. I would suggest the AKL with a savannah view or perhaps the Beach Club near Epcot.

Yacht Club fan here. It's a little quieter than the other resorts, and the proximity to dining at Epcot and Boardwalk as well as at Yacht & Beach can't be beat.

I've never found the Yacht Club stuffy. :snooty:

Check out Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a very romantic resort with excellent amenities and wonderful restaurants. We loved our savannah view room & being that close to the animals was incredibly unique and special. I think it would be perfect for a 25 year anniversary.
