Where to Stay?

I'm planning a trip to DW for Thanksgiving 2008. I'm a family of 5. Does anyone have any suggests of to where to stay? I am a school teacher so I'm kinda on a budget. Any suggestion would help? :

I talked to someone that I met when I was there the first week of December. She stayed at Swan and Dolphin and said they run specials for school teachers. You might want to check into it

These 2 hotels offer a discount to teachers. I am not sure if there are black out days. If you go to the Swan/Dolphin website plug in government employee if there is not a specific option for teachers.


I just returned from 8 nights at the Swan. As always, it was wonderful. The in house reservations staff is always helpful if you call the hotel direct.

We are a family of 5 plus an infant with a Teacher's salary as well. We just stayed at POR in the Alligator Bayou section. There were two queen beds and one trundle bed that pulled out. The rooms are slightly larger than the values and the bathroom areas are larger. The two sinks helped with getting ready in the AM. So we chose to have one room at the POR over two rooms at a value. I was able to get a discount code off the boards and our room came to $120 a night.

I was thinking of staying at the Swan and Dolphin but chose not to since we wanted the dining plan.

Yep, either POR (Alligator bayou is the only section with the trundle bed) or the teacher rate at Swan & Dolphin. Both are wonderful!

Hi,

I am a teacher as well. Enjoy the planning of it. I know I did.

We stayed at the Poly. We booked and got a code and ended up saving a thousand on the accomodations. We saved and saved and we felt that it was worth every penny for the relaxing feel and location to the MK and EP. After a day of running, I wanted to relax and enjoy my resort. It was just wonderful!

I would like to get the dining plan. Is the dining plan ava. at the Swan and Dolphins?
