I am so frustrated that codes haven't came out, we usually stay in deluxe but we will need 2 rooms and its getting too expensive at rack rate and even with AAA rate. Have thought about FW or renting points but havent had any luck with anybody emailing me or posting on my thread. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Are you talking about your trip coming up in 24 days?

The cabins at FW are very nice we have stayed there several times when our four children were young. The only negative would be one bathroom where everything is contained in one area (sink is not separate). Now we opt for two rooms because we could not live without two bathrooms.

What about an annual pass rate? You could get WL or AKL standard rooms for $114.00 a night? Only one of you has to invest in a pass (and not until you're sure you have the reservation). The savings far out way the extra cost of one AP.

Although we now prefer deluxes too, I wouldn't hesitate to book at a moderate again if that's what it takes to get to the World!

Hope this helps!

soccermom, we did rent points and use AAA for our upcoming stay, If codes continue to be scarce I guess I might consider AP but the cost of Ap just kind of freaks me out. Thank you for your help!

Be aware - the deluxes will charge you $25/pp for any adults over 2 per room - so even if you get 2 rooms - you'll still be charged an extra $50/night!

You may want to look into the cabins - don't know if they charge the extra adult fee there or not - I know that the value resorts only charge an extra $15, I think.

Another option would be to check out renting points for a 2 bedroom villa at the DVC resorts - I don't think they would charge extra for the adults there - since you only get housekeeping every 3rd day.

Good luck with your dilemma!

you might need to hit your reset button

you have 2 people trying to contact you on the DVC rental/trade site.

I will bump your post up for you - that might work

on my computer you hit either the F5 or F9 and then the computer shows you all the recent stuff.

With four teenagers - I would consider getting connecting rooms at a value resort for the two bathrooms.

We have 3 sons, ages 16, 20 and 22. Last year, they were all with my husband and I (and we also brought a teenage friend with us). We had a great time with adjoining rooms at the Dolphin. We got them with my teacher rate of about $149 a night. It was great...plenty of room...great location. We missed the Disney cast members and the room charging privledges from the parks, but we will stay there again when we have everyone with us again.

the cabins are a great idea as is the 2 rooms so you can have 2 bathrooms. last year we(5 adults) stayed at OKW in a 2 bedroom villa. we had a full kitchen, a laundry room, and the 2 bathrooms. these will actually sleep 8. the transportation at OKW is not bad; we stayed there as it is one of our home resorts. the restaurant, Olivia's, is very good. we enjoy breakfast there. and the boat ride to DTD is very relaxing. this is a very laid-back resort, easy-going. hope this gives you another option. have a great trip.:p

Just to second the 2 rooms at a value resort idea. Last year I stayed solo at ASMusic and I remember lots of college kids-I even thought how much it reminded me of a college dorm! I had 2 sons in college at the time, and I kept thinking how they'd be right at home.

We have found a dvc members points to rent for only $5 per point so we are getting 2 studios for one night for only $70 a piece at Wilderness Lodge Villas, for our second night we are using AAA discount on 2 rooms $189/room but this includes tax. We absolutely love WL!!!!!

Hi,

If you check on EBAY, you will find fantastic deals offered by DVC members offering Disney units for large parties at deeply discounted rates.
