where to stay one night before checking in on property?

We are arriving late on the 25th of April. I can't justify spending $100. that night staying on property. We check in to ASMU on the 26th (that night I pay $100., the following nights I got a discount).
Anyways, unless the APs come out with a great rate for that night, I need to stay elsewhere. I really don't want to pay alot ($35. maybe) since we are really only going to be sleeping there. I was thinking of trying priceline so I know I could get something decent. Any suggestions???
