Where to stay on the way down?

We normally stay at the Country Inn Suites in Valdosta on the way down. However, this trip, since it is Thanksgiving week, we thought we'd get another hour down the road. Where on I-75 does that put us?

Between the Florida line and Lake City, Fl. Lake City would be the largest city with hotels and restaurants.

I don't know where you are in Georgia but from Atlanta to WDW is only about 8-9 hours. You can't make that in one day?
