where to stay on the Gulf Coast??

Hello everyone,

We have decided to stay on an extra week after our 2 weeks in Orlando and spend a week on the Gulf Coast. We are thinking of staying in Siesta Keys. Does anyone have any recommendations for accommadation in this area, or any area close to this? We really want a property that looks directly on to the beach.

We have stayed on Lido Key. Both hotels were on the Beach.....The Half Moon Beach Club.....nice, but try to get a room with the little kitchen as these are much brighter and more spacious. Has a lovely bar and restaurant.

Helmsely Sandcastle...again on the beach. Nice bright rooms. Two pools but no spa. Pool bar and more "on the beach" than the Half Moon.

Would reccomend either of these.
