we are a family of 5 and we might have one other adult ( my sister in law) with us. so 2or 3 adults 3 kids, 10, 5, 3; 2 boys and a girl. We stayed off property last year when we were in Disney World but the town house we rented was to far away from property like 30 minutes. I am ready to start planning next years trip we are thinking the first full week of June 2015. so we would like to rent again but we would like to know what community's are closer to the parks we would like a house or townhouse thanks so much for the help.

Bonnett Creek gets a lot of positive press here on the DIS. It's near Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, so very close. I know there's a long thread on the Orlando Resorts board with lots of details about it.

Rented a house in Emerald Island Resort. Found it to be a great resort and very close to Disney and lots of restaurants.

I second the Bonnet Creek idea! But don't book through them directly, rent a timeshare from an owner. Much less expensive! We had a three bedroom unit for about 1200/week in May. It is an amazing resort on Disney Property but at a fraction of the price you would get a condo in a Disney timeshare resort! You can use a bunch of different sites, just Google Bonnet creek timeshare rental.

Windsor Hills, you can get some great deals for the week for last minute trips too. It depends on the time of your, but Fall $599 and a alert last minute deal could be $399.

Sleeps up to 8 three bedrooms and fold out couch, full furnished kitchen and washer dryer.
All rentals are Saturday to Saaturday unless there is availability.

Crestwynd bay seems nice. I think we will be staying there for just over 3 weeks in November.

A little over $1400 for a townhome. It was about $1700 but after speaking with the owner directly, got a much better price. A few in windsor hills were cheaper, but they were the condos with 2 or 3 bedroom and two bath. This is a townhome with 3 bed, 3 bath and much more space. And they're like the entrance down the road from windsor hills. Seems to be mostly newer places as well. Can't beat it.

We loved WH!!!! Very close to the parks. We did a 6 bedroom so the kids can have their own rooms and we get the private full sized pool and hot tub and it worked out great. We just booked 9 days in Sept 2015 for $1700 in a beautifully WDW themed home. We picked a different home this time just to get a little different theming than we did last time.
