Where to stay at SSR

Hey Guys.

Going to wdw after a cruise in Dec and staying in a 2 bedroom at SSR. This is our home resort bit we have never stayed there. We wont be doing much swimming due to the short stay. We want to be close to a bus stop to expedite travel to the parks. I have read that grandstand is best as they are he first bus stop. Does anyone have advice on what section and or buiding to stay at for the closest and easiest travel to the parks. Thanks.

Our trip in June we stayed at Grandstand and our room was 9227 our bus stop was a walk across the parking lot. We were the first pickup and drop off coming and going to the parks. Coming from DTD our stop, if I remember was second.
I told my DW that on all of our next trips that's where we'll stay from now on.

We also will be staying at SSR after our cruise in Dec. and have requested the GrandStand. We stayed in the THV in Feb. and really liked the location of the Grand Stand to the Carriage House and being the first bus stop to pickup and drop off.

I would never request a specific room. Chances are it will be occupied and then you are just randomly placed. Ask for an area, such as Springs, Congress Park or Grandstand.
Just know that while Grandstand is the first stop, it is also the stop for the Treehouse villas, so that stop can get congested. Not all buildings in Grandstand are close to the bus stop, two are further out.

Springs and Congress Park to me are the ones most centrally located to their bus stop.

Also while Grandstand is the first stop, that also means at times when you are wanting to get on a bus it is already full when it stops at Grandstand with people going to the other 4 stops.

So first is not always better. I like Springs and Congress Park, because once you get on the bus you are quickly out of the resort and to the park.

We have stayed there several times and the Grandstand is our favorite. Great views, parking, pool, and bus stop. It was a beautiful walk to the community hall or main pool.

we have not stayed there as of yet but people were telling us we should stay in congress park. has anyone stayed there
