I will be staying at the PC in June and I wanted to know what are the better areas to stay at. I know there are different themes, but we never stayed there before so I'm asking for a little help.

The last 2 times we have been to Disney we stayed at Pop. We were in the 50's section both times. I loved it because it's close to the main building. I don't how any of the other scetions are. It's a great place to stay! Have a great trip! :flower:

We just spent the weekend at Pop. I had requested the 50's. However, when we checked in, the CM said he could find us a better room. He got us room 9134, 1st floor in the 80's. The location was great. It was half way between the computer pool and the food court. The bus stop was a minute walk away! The only inconvenience was the noise of people walking by our room.

We checked in early, around 11 am, and the CM asked if we had a preference before she assigned us a room. I said we'd like something on a top floor and towards the end of a hall away from elevators (I'd read about the noise levels). I also mentioned that if possible a fireworks view would be great. She checked with another CM about areas that would fit our needs and they ended up putting us in the 50's, 4th floor, next to the last room on the back of the building. We were able to see Illuminations every night, were never awakened by outside noise, and had only one complaint: the parking lots seemed so far away. Aside from that we were very happy with our location. We got what we asked for. :teeth:

We have requested 70s bldg/lake views/4th floor/connecting/non-smoking/fridge!! Is that too much to ask? :teeth:

We requested the same thing and it worked out great for us. I hope you get a clear night because the view of the fireworks is pretty cool!

I would not pay the extra money to stay in the '60s. We stayed in the '70s and were very happy with that. The first night we were in the '90s, and I was not happy there. With two small children the walk was too far. The '50s is great also for locaction, and they have pool. You can't go wrong withe '70s or '50s. '50s you'll get to see fireworks if you are in the right location.

This is great information....my fiance and I will be on our Disneymoon in October 2005 and staying at Pop Century for 2 nights (after spending 8 at Coronado Springs) and we were wondering what would be the best building to stay in.

We'll be getting married on the 18th and we are also staying at Pop till the wedding day!! This past Oct we stayed in room 3222 in the 50's building and WE LOVED IT!! We had a perfect view of epcot and watched (and even heard when the wind blew) Illuminations every night. It was beautiful. I loved walking out our door and seeing Epcot every morning and that's when my disney day began. It was great!! See you in Oct!!

I stayed in the 60's building and it was close to everything.

I stayed in the 60's building twice..In September (not very crowded) I was right in front of the kiddie pool-2nd floor. In October I requested the same building, lake view..it was very quiet. I was also aware of the potential noise problem at this resort, so that is why I asked for something away from the pools. It was close to the food court. It was also considered a "preferred" room. I liked the music being played at that area better than the others.
