I have heard that on the K. Safari you should sit on the left to take the best photos...does anyone have a comment on that? Also, are there any other rides where sitting in a certain place has benefits? Thanks for your replies!

Hi! IMHO, it doesn't matter which side you sit on, because at times you will wish you were on the other side! I was on the left and the most memorable animal on that side was the rhino that actually started to charge the Safari ride, then pulled up short when he got close enough to see how big it was. We know it wasn't scripted, because the "Guide" CM was doing a lot of "umm-ing" and "well uhhh-ing" and we just sat tight and didn't move until Mr. R realized we were too big to tangle with. The next morning when we rode again, that part was no where in the script! I've never talked to anyone else who has been that had that same experience. We also saw giraffes on our side. The lions were on the right side, and I think the gorillas were, too, but it has been three years since we were there. Be sure to have a camera with a good zoom, if possible, because except for that rhino, I didn't get many close up shots.

Have a great trip!

Either left or right, both sides offer great views...
Now, the elephant watering hole is on the left side, however, the big male elephant will be on the right. Most animals are free roaming out there, and as we have no control of where they go they could appear on either side of the vehicle (or once in awhile right in front of the vehicle :p ;) ) :)
My best suggestion would be, of course, to ride it twice; once on the left and once on the right ::yes::

Either left or right but of course not the middle. It really doesn't matter.

However, if your goal is to take pictures, don't sit way in the back.
That's THE bounciest part of the truck!!! But dont' sit right behind the driver either or you won't get to see the animals until they right along side the truck. Sit a few rows back from the front.

for the info....especially about the bouncing/driver! I'm sure we would have tried to sit in the very front! You guys are great!

I really enjoyed sitting in the back seat. I was able to get some great pictures of animals crossing the road behind us--also of the trees and termite hills. It was bouncy but it was a wonderful way to take pictures with no one's head or the ride vehicle in the picture.

That makes sense, too! Decisions, decisions.....I guess I'll have to ride it a few times for sure!!!!
