Airmiles Armchair Chatter

Hey I got you beat. I have a receipt that I scanned on July 10th that still says processing receipt. I don't even remember if anything was on the receipt that I could earn points on. I may have to get in touch with them just to have it stop clocking everytime I log onto the receipts part.
Crazy. I don't know who to contact. I tried the app support email and it came back undeliverable because I did not have proper access? Good luck!
 

Anyone have any clarity on the "Home" category on Amazon right now? Does "Home and Kitchen" fall into the "Home" category?
 
Anyone else having issues with the AM app and scanning their receipts? I could have got 6 AM yesterday but lost out. The stupid thing kept asking me to allow access to my photos and videos (why???) and so I gave in and tried to upload a picture I took of said receipt but it still didn't work. 😠 Won't work today either.
Yes, this happened to me ~ 2 weeks ago? Maybe longer. I got very frustrated as every time I started "scan receipt" it would go blank/glitch. I just gave up trying, as lately I was only getting 3-5AM.

With STB having a receipt option, I have in and tried to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Tried choosing different choices of "access" and eventually landed on a choice that worked... sorry no idea which one it was! I believe i reinstalled 3x before getting it. Good luck!
 
Ok Airmiles Receipt APP.
I for one hate the APP!!!
Thank goodness my son that lives at home is a computer analyst.
And believe me the APP confuses him.
He tries clearing the cache,, removing the APP and reinstalling it multiple times.
He also empties all my Airmiles saved receipt images.
I also restart my phone before scanning images.
Not sure what does and does not work at this point,,, something did. Airmiles phone people have no clue how to guide people other that to give them the Airmiles.
I have complained to multiple phone reps and while they say they will report my concerns nothing gets done.

Disappointing to say the least.

Has anyone else noticed the terms for the Shell Gift card offer? It says get 30 AM when you buy 2 participating gift cards, but if you open the terms, it says you only need to buy 1 gift card. Unfortunately the gift cards this time don't interest me, but it would be interesting to test this out and see what happens with one purchase only.

I saw that but CHAT is no longer available on Airmiles.
The wait time to ask someone via phone is just too long.
I am not interested in any of the GC this time around but it would be nice to know if it's one or two cards for 30 Airmiles.

The BMO saga continues, recap and update....
Around July 8th-ish I called to see where my new card was. The expiry on my current (now discontinues card) is 08. I was told that the card had been processed July 3rd so I should have it in the next day or two. Well cut to this past Monday, July 21st that card has finally hit my mailbox. I open it and what do I find, the basic card. This is after speaking with them mid May about them downgrading me to the basic card. My complaint was that the basic being 1 mile/$25 is not a fair replacement for my current card which is 1/$15. The more equitable replacement card would be the Elite at 1/$12. I was unhappy with them not even offering me any choice as to which card I could have. The person agreed with me and opened a complaint file, I got email confirmation of that stating that they would be calling me back within 48hrs. She put me on hold was a very long time, came back and said that as long as I agreed to the annual fee I could have the Elite card. I agreed but said that I should be offered some sort of compensation. Again, she agreed and said I could have the annual fee waived for the first year. I agreed that this was fair.

So I called again when I received this basic card. Go through the whole thing again. This person says that she can do nothing except cancel my account and then I'm able to reapply for the Elite card. I say no, that is not what was discussed and offered to me. She argues with me, saying no one would make that offer as they can't. Again, I'm put on a loooong hold. She comes back saying that she has escalated my complaint and I will get a call back from a manager in 12-48 hrs once they review the previous phone call to see what in fact was said....they still have not called me. She then says that if I was in fact offered what I said they will honour it. My response was, yes go ahead and review the call because right now you are basically calling me a liar which I do not appreciate.

I guess I have to call again.

They most certainly can, and do, all the time. Sounds like you got someone on their bad day. Sometimes, not always, they ask a question about income but all anyone has to say is they qualify, no one checks and you don't need proof. Hope this clears up for you, it shouldn't take this long. It just shouldn't be this hard.
 
In October/November, I'm actually downgrading my BMO MC from the World Elite AM card to the free basic one (they have an offer on that one of 1200 miles when you spend $1500 in three months.) I just don't use it as much as my TD Aeroplan VISA right now, and I only really need a MC for Costco LOL
 
Now if I had any Cash Airmiles this one would be good.

If I could transfer my dream miles over, that would be great lol. I don't understand why it's still not working :( I don't think I'll earn another 60 AM by the end of July (that will also post in time). Fingers crossed I guess. I switched to earn 100% cash since they won't allow the transfers right now. I did do a survey, but receipts haven't posted yet. I'm not sure Shell will all post properly when I go tomorrow. Maybe I'll get lucky lol. I do need to go to Pharmasave for my StB purchase, and redeeming to get back 50 would be another offer so that could be good.
