Where to shop for plus size clothes?

Dear all, (but especially those of you who love chocolate too much!)

I ususally take a 3X in US clothes and on our last trip found lots of great places to shop but not in Disney itself. Does anyone know if some of the shops on property or at downtown regularly stock bigger sizes?

3X? Me too! I found that Downtown Disney carried pretty much the same stock/sizes as the shops in the park. For the most part these only went up to 2X in size. However, Downtown Disney did carry some 3X and even 4X T-shirts but only in a couple of designs

However, some of the specialised sport shirts, i.e. Disney American Football or Ice Hockey designs that went upto 2X are much bigger. So much so that I'm wearing my 2X Disney "Grumpy 37" ice hockey shirt over a t-shirt and its still baggy. The only other shops that I know carry regular Disney plus sizes are the Bargain World shops on International Drive - but I don't believe these are official merchandise.

My favourite store is Torrid, everything in there is plus sizes from a 14 up, they even do Disney stuff I've got some great T-shirts from them (they will also ship to UK so I buy stuff from them online). The nearest is in the Florida Mall, which is well worth checking out, it also has Lane Bryant which has some great stuff, & departments stores Nordstroms, Sears & JC Penny all which have larger sections. There is also a branch of Fredricks of Hollywood there if you want any nice lingerie in bigger sizes.

You can also look for a brand called Just my Size that Walmart stock for some great cheap clothes.

For cheap but reasonable quality stuff I got some great stuff in Walmart and Target! (I take a 24). I've forund - away from the 'designer' places - most shops in the US cater for 'biggies'! I alwyas come back with loads of stuff - especially jeans!!!!! Places over here seem to assume if you're over a certain size you want 'half-elasticated' waists in everything - I hate those! American stuff is just bigger!!!!!

I found the most beautiful clothes ina shop called Avenue. I went on the days shopping trip and they were at one of the malls. I cant remebre which one. They do have a website wihich should have locations on it.

Thanks for all your replies and I'll check Avenue as well, (its in the Florida Mall), and hopefully I'll come back with lots of fab stuff.

I'm not going till Dec so if anyone goes before that and finds anywhere great let me know.
