I was originally going to post stuff on ebay but I haven't sold anything on there in a while and I've read some funky stuff on the boards about ebay lately. Has anyone sold stuff on etsy? Was just wondering if anyone else had a better idea of where to sell wedding craft related stuff I won't be using for my wedding. I know there was a post about this along time ago but I could't find it I've got a hodgepodge of stuff mostly craft, stationary and decoration items. I did see someone post stuff on craigslist but I don't have much experience with them either. Again any advice would be great but as I keep building with my current ideas I need to liquidate stuff I'm not using.

I did not post that I would not be using any advice in the title of my thread. I really don't think its funny that a staff member edited my post in such an obnoxious way. As a long time member I found that really really offensive.

I guess you can try selling it, but if it's a "hodge podge" of items, I don't know who would buy it. I had a small wedding (by today's standards of about 75 people) and your left over stuff probably would not be enough even for my wedding. If you think you want to sell it, I would go with the easiest method and not the one which *might* earn you the most money.

None of it is used its all new, its just stuff I was going to use before I decided to have a Disney Destination wedding. I say hodgepodge because its an assortment of stuff like I have invitations, favor boxes, decoration some jewelry I bought on etsy for bridesmaids etc.. I was reading through the boards and read something about wedding bee I'm going to check them out if not I may just post it as a lot on ebay or donate it to my local military thrift shop. I'm just cleaning house and as I find myself making my save the dates I realized I had this box full of wedding stuff I'm not using. I thought the boards would be a great place to get advice on where to try and sell it.

That makes more sense! I thought you meant you had a few things here and a few things there. Good luck and have a great wedding!

I decided to post stuff on wedding bee and if it doesn't sell I'm going to donate it to thrift shop at our local base. Thank you again.

I'm interested in what you have. PM me any details. Thanks!

Evi, please let us know how it goes on weddingbee. I have a number of things I am trying to sell on ebay right now -- unused accessories, a "Disney Bride" Long Sleeve shirt, a small lot (9) of Cinderella coach crystal wedding favors, unused veil, shoes, bride tote bag, etc.

Ebay seemed like the only logical place since craigslist is more localized and finding a local Disney bride doesn't seem likely.

I've tried listing my dress on preownedweddingdresses.com but no hits yet.

I'd love to know how your experience goes with weddingbee.

(and if anyone is interested in any of those things, please contact me! Ebay ID is Leah_679.)

thanks and good luck to anyone else who's trying to sell some unused things! :thumbsup2

I haven't gotten any responses on wedding bee. I did post the stuff on ebay and it has a few people watching it but we'll see. Honestly if it doesn't sell on ebay I'm going to donate them to the local thrift shop on base. I think its very hit or miss selling on wedding bee. I've seen some stuff that I wouldn't think would sell posted by other people and it gets tons of responses. So I guess it doesn't hurt to post it on wedding bee especially since you won't have to pay any fees to post it. I think once I'm done with my save the dates and have full count for our cruise I'm going to be posting my leftover gable boxes and if that doesn't work I'll use them for a picnic or lunch lol.
