Where to sell Vera Bradley and Brighton Items - Consignment or Somewhere Else?

I used to sell a ton on ebay, but I've stopped doing that because I felt the fees and the hassle got to be too much and I don't want to worry about chargebacks.

So, I have a lot of Vera Bradley and Brighton items that I want to sell. My parents are moving and I'm helping to get rid of some of the extras. I have tried Craigslist, but we live in a small town and things like that don't sell very well on there.

Should I try a consignment store? I've called a few and they all say they sell a lot of Vera Bradley and Brighton items, but I'm hesitant to try them and don't know why. Anyone have any opinions on consignment stores? Things I should look out for or need to know?

If not a consignment store, where else would you sell them? I thought garage sale, but figured I wouldn't get much for them there?

I used to do the same thing and quit for the same reasons. Have you tried doing a yard sale? I not into craigslist very much. You could alway give the consignment a try with a few things and see if it works for you. Hope you sell everything. Jo

See if you can find a boutique owner that does not carry Vera that has always wanted to test the line for you. They could have an opportunity to see how the line would do and sell it on consignment for you or just buy you out at cost so your not loosing anything. Considering the cost for a vender to open a new line of vera it may be worth it to them to be able to do a test run with the product before making the full investment.

There is a Vera Bradley facebook group that many women sell their Vera's and "off-topic" bags on. I've bought and sold on there and love it.
