Where To Sell An Old Ipod?

If it's an iPod Nano, there's a recall for first generation models. You can get a current model replacement from Apple.

IIRC, that Nano replacement was for items sold in 2005/2006.

As for that item, it must be a Ipod Photo or the classic size. I have an Ipod Photo that I bought in 2003. I still have it and it still works. We don't use it for music anymore though. I have transferred pictures from digital camera as a holding device. My husband now uses it as a portable hard drive.

We have first generation iPods. No idea what to do with them now! Will the Apple store give any credit on them?

This is so old, it's likely that you won't be able to even give it away. You might be able to sell it on eBay for parts. You could also contact Apple about any trade-in value.

Apple does have a recycling program. Turn in an old piece of Apple electronics and get 10% off a new item.

If u have IPOD Nano 1st or 2nd Gen turn them in under Apple's replacement program...."google" Apple Ipod Replacement Program and follow the instructions. Hung on to two nanos and used them out by our pool....now we have two brand new 8gb with the color screen! Love Disboards!

Gamestop gives a decent credit for ipod trade-ins, but I would assume anything that old wouldn't break $10.
