Suppose you were at the Contemporary to have dinner at Chef Mickey's and then wanted to watch the MK fireworks.

Is there a place where you can see them?

Years ago, we were able to get onto the observation deck outside of California Grill and see them there. However, from reading the boards, it sounds like that is no longer an option.

I saw mention of a 4th floor observation deck. Is there really such a thing? How would I find it?

There is an observation deck on the 4th floor at CR. There is a door under the huge window on the shops side of the concourse. If you have trouble finding it just ask a cast member and they will direct you where to go.

I have a similiar question-can you see the fireworks while eating at Chef Mickey's? If you have a window seat I mean!

Actually there is no longer public access to the fourth floor observation deck. To have access to this deck you must have a reservation at the California grill around the scheduled time for the firework show. The dinners are the only one's allowed on the observation deck. My husband and I took advantage of this on our last trip. However, we will not do this again for some time. The CG is expensive.

Sorry, but I don't think your post is accurate.

There's an observation deck on the roof that you have to walk through the California Grill to access, but it's up on the 15th floor (or some such number). This is the observation deck that is now closed to the public.

The 4th floor is concourse level, where Chef Mickey's and the Outer Rim are located. I gather that there is another observation deck there on the 4th floor, and that is where I'm asking about.
