Hi- we are taking my mom to Disney with us Dec 28-Jan 3
We are sure that we're getting 3 day pass, not sure which days we are going - except Dec 31 - that's for SURE. I want to book wheelchair in advance but didn't see a place to do that online? ANyone have a link?

Thanks so much!!

by book a wheelchair, I assume you mean from Disney? You cannot do that in advance. Its first come first served at the gates. You don't need to tell them the dates you are going to the parks but you need to use all your days by two weeks from the day you first use the ticket.

Just know December 31st is one of the top three or four busiest days for the year. I don't know if you are staying onsite or off but if you are driving get there early. Also think about renting a wheelchair from an off-site vendor so you are sure to have it.

Thank you so much- yes, Disney - we plan on arriving before the gates open, so i'm assuming that would be sufficient? I can also look into an outside vendor like you suggested, but only if it's totally advised that we do that- any suggestions? Even if we plan to arrive 30 min before gates open? I haven't ben to disney in 8 years and this is the first time with mom who needs a wheelchair, thanks so much all. :)

There is a sticky at the top of the
Is board that lists places to rent scooters and wheel chairs. My friend got to MK an hour before opening on christmas last year and couldn't get in

:welcome: to the disABILITIES forum!

Since you plan to arrive early, you shouldn't have any trouble obtaining a wheelchair at the parks. However, you will not be allowed into the park to do the rental until rope drop, unless you have an early breakfast ADR. In-park rentals cannot be removed beyond the gates. Manual wheelchairs rarely run out, but at PP mentions, Dec. 31st is one of the busiest/crowdest days in the park. If you plan to leave the park mid-day and return, or park-hop, you may have trouble getting one immediately on your return but can be wait-listed if necessary. Renting from off-site is typically less expensive, plus you will have the wheelchair to/from transportation (or the parking lots if driving) and for use around your resort.

Enjoy your vacation!

to OP the main reason I would look at an off site rental would be the fact that wheelchair can not go outside the gate esp at end of day it can be a long walk to bus, car, boat or monorail and you will not be able to use wheelchair when you will most likely need it. also off site rental can be used at your resort as needed. there are not benches to wait while waiting for transportation back to your resort. I know that is when my knees hurt the most
