Where to rent points other than on here?

My extended family is going to be taking a trip with us. We are all interested in renting DVC points but I am the only one that is an active member on here. I've rented points from dismembers before and will be doing so again. But since they aren't members...I need to find another reputable place for them to rent from. Suggestions?

You don't have to be a member of any site to rent from there. They have a great reputation!

The 6 month/50 posts rule applies to DVC members renting/transferring out their points or renting a confirmed reservation. It does not apply to someone looking to rent a reservation from a DVC member. Your family members would need to be DISboards members and be logged in to the DISboards to see the Rent/Trade board but do not have to be active members of the DIS to respond to a "Points for Rent" thread. They will need at least 10 posts to respond to a PM however.

That's the conclusion I came to as well, which is why I came out of lurking. When you Google, this site comes up again and again as being THE site to find reliable DVC members to rent from. It's unfortunate that the requesting rules changed, though, because that would have made the process easier, I think.

Oh well. A little more work is worth it to get the type of vacation you're dreaming of.

Again, the requesting rules have not changed. Only the "offering" rules have changed for owners wanting to list their points here.

Also...in trips past when I rented I would post I was looking for ( just an example) BCV June 1-June10. I can no longer do this? How do I go about posting for what I'm looking for?

You can't. You simply have to reply to someone who is offering their points to be rented for a reservation.

You can absolutely still post what you are looking for in a rental. Just post your request on any/all threads titled "Points for Rent". You can't submit a thread titled "Reservation Wanted" any more but you can respond to any thread where a DVC members is offering to make reservations for others.

I Googled and only found chat forums and David's. There's another reputable company renting points?!

I've always been the go through person for all my families Disney trips. Since I'm the only one on these boards, I make initial contact with the member then pass the correspondence along to the family members traveling.
