Where to Put My Wings???

DD2 is going to be Tinkerbell for Halloween at WDW. But her beautiful wings do not fit in our luggage. What are your suggestions? Ship them to the hotel? Carry them onto the plane in a garment bag? What is the best opption and how do I go about it?

Take them as carry ons or use garment bags to protect them. Anything delicate should be carried on if possilble. Or put in a hard shell luggage to protect them. I should know i'm a baggage handler.
