Where could an air mattress be put at the Beach Club Villas? I have only stayed there once and I can't really think of where one would fit. It would be DH and I in the master bedroom (with DS1 in pack and play), my mother on the sleep sofa and DD6 on a twin air mattress. Could it fit in the entrance? Or maybe if you moved the chairs that are at the bar would it fit between the armoire and the bar? Just trying to get some ideas! :thumbsup2

You already suggested what I do----move the bar chairs around the table and then my middle ds sleeps in the space near the bar area. (the trunk and chair fit next to the folded out sofa bed against the window area). You can also utilize the space near the front door each night if you wanted more separation between your mother on the sofa bed and your ds. With 3 kids who all like to sleep separately, that's what we do.

So were you putting an air mattress on the floor between the bar and the tv or was your son just sleeping on the floor? If a mattress would fit there, I think that would be the best.

He was in a sleeping bag, but I'm fairly sure there is enough room for a twin size air mattress---there was plenty of space. He slept parallel to the person in the bed, but with his head against the opposite wall. Can't remember whether or not there was enough room to put a mattress perpidicular to the end of the bed in front of the tv.

The only appropriate place is in the pool.

Okay, so far I have next to the tv, front entrance, or in the pool...I'm thinking the best place for my 6 year old daughter will be the pool, she does love to swim!

Does she like camping? You could also bring a pup-tent and place her on the balcony.....

How about putting her in the second bedroom of the 2 bedroom unit you should be booking? That would seem to make the most sense. Before long this same group will HAVE TO be in a 2 bedroom anyway. The pack n play only works for a brief period. I say up it to a 2 bedroom and be more comfortable.

Have a great trip,

Dave

I am just looking for advice on where to put an air mattress. As there are only 5 of us we will never have to be in a 2 bedroom. I really don't need any other advice, thanks anyway!

I've put a twin airmattress at BCV between the masterbed and the sliding glass door to the deck and it also fits in the walk in closet! Honestly, my dd calls that her private room. Those closets are huge. The one at BWV fit two port-a-cribs!

The OP can have 5 adults in a 1 bedroom if she wanted as long as she provides her own bedding for the 5th person. Her question was re:an airmattress, not occupancy. :dance3:

We might have had the room next to hers during Spring Break. Boy, some crazy noises were coming out of that villa. Did you guys have a sheep in there or something?

Oh, I see where that was a hypothetical statement - never mind.

LOL :rotfl2: As long as you weren't next to our studio at BWV last weekend with many, many people in it after the bar closed. Note to self.... studio can fit 7 adults easily after drinking all night.... must invite more to sleep out on the deck.... sorry no room for farm animals, they'd get in the way of the keg in the bathtub :rotfl:

I didn't think of that! The whole reason we are bringing an air mattress and not just putting DD with her grandma is because she has a lot of trouble sleeping away from home. She has nightmares and often wakes up many times per night when we are away. Since she has a twin bed at home I am bringing the twin mattress and all her bedding in hopes that she will sleep through the night. I am thinking in the walk-in closet she would feel secure. I really like this idea! Would I be able to open the door with the mattress blown up or is it way too tight in there?

I was planning on bringing a full size air mattress since that is what we have. Will that fit in BCV? I may have go out an buy a twin mattress if the full will not fit.
Thanks!

Yup, the door closes. She shuts the door at night when she wants privacy LOL! (She also sleeps with a glow bracelet for a night light) She leaves the door open about 3 inches for some light/fresh air. She had a friend sleep over one night and they both slept in there. It's really big! It worked great for the two port-a-cribs because my ddsil had her twins with us and both portacribs fit in the walk in and the door closed, so they didn't get disturbed by the adults!

Good luck!
