Is there anyplace on property you can have some luck finding older Disney movies that haven't been produced in awhile? I'm looking specifically for the Heffalump Movie. Also, has anyone seen a 'Bolt' stuffed animal anywhere? These will be our quest in a few days. TIA.

As you probably know, Disney movies are released from 'the vault' every 7 years so if it's not the turn of the movie you want, I'm afraid all you can do is wait until it is released.

I guess the merchandise works in the same way - assuming they ever re-release the merchandise at the same time they re-release the movies.

I haven't really shopped for movies when we were at WDW. If I am looking for an older or more obscure title I go to a store here called "Buybacks". They take movies on trade. They have a service where you can give them a title and they will search for it, call you when they find it, and send it directly to you. As for the Bolt plush, I saw them at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney in early June this year. They might have them in the big store by Dumbo. They have a lot of plush there. Good luck.

Once Upon a Toy in DTD.

However, if the movies are "in the Disney Vault" don't expect to find (m)any on the shelves at WDW.

If a movie is out-of-print (temporarily "in the Disney Vault")
your best choice is an eBay search.

HERE is Heffalump on DVD for $17 including shipping.

difficult to find some Disney movies. There are usually sellers on Amazon that carry stuff that may not be out in stores. They usually know that they are out of circulation and jack up the price.

I had some luck finding a couple of DVDs on EBay for my daughter. They were reasonable be priced. I made sure that the sellers had a solid reputation with a number of positive reviews.

Also be aware that DVDs, CDs, blu-rays, etc at WDW are sold at full retail price.
You might try a shop in your area that sells used DVDs. Most cities have several such places. :)

Also try k Mart- in our area no one shops there so you can almost always find Disney DVDs that are supposed to be in the vault

Thanks everyone... we just got back yesterday, and successfully found Bolt at HS! I actually completely forgot about looking for the DVD... :rotfl2:

One thing I have to warn you is that there are a lot of pirated DVDs sold on eBay. Disney in the vault titles in particular. I myself bought several titles on eBay, and though I was very careful, I got one pirated dvd (it was refunded immediately once I wrote about the counterfeit to the seller).
Here are some tips to avoid buying a fake:
1. Do not buy from anyone who has the same title available for sale at the same time or in their sales history in the last 3 months.
2. Check prior sales history - do no buy from anyone who seems to only sell Disney DVD or even just DVDs. I know there are resellers of DVDs, but the risk is just too high that they "add" to their inventory from the pirated pile.
3. Beware of sellers with many Disney DVDs looking like new. The exception is private sellers, not professional sellers (lower feedback, not a lot of past sales).
4. DO NOT RELY on seller's rating. It's worthless.
5. Do not buy from listings with no photo of the actual item. Stock photo is a no.
6. Look for sellers that sell used/estate items other than DVDs - toys, video consoles, games, childrens clothes, etc.
