My DD has a brand new room to paint and furnish.

Can someone tell me of any websites like pbteen.com to go to for inspiration for her?

Thanks alot :D

I love the www.behr.com site. They have a bunch of different ways to look at color combinations, and many themes. I would guess though the best place to start would be with bedding she loves, and then pull paint colors and accessories from there? That is how I would do it if I had to do it over again. I picked colors we loved for DDs room, but we have never found bedding that was quite right...

oops..sorry, just realized pbteen must be Pottery Barn Teen.
;):o

Hi!

Is SearsShowplace.com too conventional? They have a lot of choice with their Bedding/Comforter sets. Some of the sets have links to coordinating accessories. I just received the Aloha tropical set for my guest room, and it is very nice.

Good luck!

Better Homes and Gardens has some nice ideas for any type of decorating.

Have fun! Sounds like a really great project for you both! :)

Thanks everybody! We'll go to these sites to look around.

My DD is 11.5 and wants a fun/cool room, with mirror ribbons on the wall, funky lamp, etc...but not a "girlie" room.

Ahutton - thanks, a great idea to pick the bedding first, then we can pull colors from there. I love the behr.com site, I picked the bathroom color from there actually (Pewter Vase). It looks fantastic.

Reginat - she's going for a surfer/aloha theme actually! She loves the pbteen.com theme in that catalog - but the prices! Ouch!!

Thanks again all :D

Now 2 more bedrooms and hallway to go:eek:

Sometimes some of the teen catalogs can have good ideas, like Alloy and Delias I think. Unfortunately you have to have the catalog because on the website only the bedding and accessories they sell is shown.
The JC Penny catalogs have some decent pictures in them that can provide ideas.

thanks monarchsfan16 - as soon as I saw your user name, I knew you lived around here...I'm in Manchester :wave2:

Thanks, we'll check them out too.
